The Nubia Z60 Ultra arrived at the end of last year, packing the brand-new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and up to 16 GB of memory alongside 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Now, the Photographer Edition is finally available globally after being introduced in China at the end of March. The only storage/memory combination available is 16/512 GB, while the single finish/color choice is "black vegan leather," as opposed to the three hardware setups and two color options of the vanilla edition.
In addition to the hardware specs mentioned above, the Nubia Z60 Ultra features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh, 2,480 x 1,116 pixels resolution, 400 ppi, and 100 percent DCI-P3 coverage. In the photo department, this handset comes with a 50 MP 35 mm Sony IMX800 sensor with f/1.59 aperture and OIS, another 50 MP sensor in charge of wide-angle shots (18 mm focal length, f/1.8 aperture, OIS), as well as a 64 MP 85 mm telephoto camera that sports optical stabilization as well. Last but not least, the selfies are being handled by a 12 MP camera that's placed under the display.
ZTE's offspring, Nubia, used a 6,000 mAh battery for this handset, which has an IP68 rating for protection from dust and water ingress. The infrared sensor should also be mentioned, because many mid-range and high-end devices don't offer this very useful feature these days.
While the European website has the Nubia Z60 Ultra Photographer Edition listed for no less than 899 Euros, the global website shows a more attractive $779 price tag. The Mexico store also has it available, while the United Kingdom has been left out (at least for the time being). Amazon users in the US can currently grab the Nubia Z60 Ultra with 16/512 GB for $779 as well, thanks to a $50 coupon.
