4K3mins Update

I've been a bit slow with video production lately; it just takes too much time. I have lots of footage from our trips to Georgia in November and Thailand in January and February. Unfortunately, my brand new drone crashed in Thailand, so I can't shoot aerial footage anymore. Plus, my Paralenz underwater camera is also broken, and with Paralenz filing for bankruptcy, I can't do underwater shots either.

On the bright side, my workload has been increasing, which is great for business but leaves me with little time for other projects.

But guess what? I've discovered something new: I can make music with Suno AI. I’ve always dreamed of making rock music, but I never had the ability to sing or play any instruments. Now, everything has changed. Thanks to Suno AI, I can be a rock star.

We then descend upon Porto Maurizio, an area renowned for its historic old town and labyrinthine alleyways. The drone captures glimpses that offer a new perspective on this old-world charm, as if guided by the spirits of yesteryears.

Our flight takes a daring turn over Isola Gallinara, a privately-owned island with a history steeped in lore, from Roman shipwrecks to monastic escapades. Here, every inch of soil and stretch of sea seems to whisper a tale of isolation and unsolved mystery.

Next, we explore the overlooked beauty of Costa d'Oneglia, a hamlet tucked away from the hustle and bustle, where olive groves meet the sea and time appears to stand still.

We recently embarked on an awe-inspiring journey to Norway aboard the brand-new MSC Euribia. This massive cruise ship is a marvel of modern engineering, accommodating up to 6,500 passengers and boasting a crew of 1,700. It features an array of amenities including multiple restaurants on the upper deck, indoor and outdoor pools, a buffet, a shopping mall crowned with an LED cupola, and even its own theater.

Our voyage began in Paris, from where we flew on an MSC-chartered plane to Hamburg. Organized transfers whisked us to Kiel, the starting point of our cruise. Our itinerary included stops in Copenhagen before culminating in the mesmerizing Norwegian towns of Hellesylt, Ålesund, and Flåm.

While most of the video footage was captured in Ålesund, the video also features scenic shots from Hellesylt and the captivating waterfall in Flåm. It's worth mentioning that drones are prohibited on board, and while I was able to retrieve mine during each port-of-call, flying it while on the ship was not an option—missing out on the fjords was a regrettable limitation.

Though the cruise offered an unforgettable experience, the ship's large capacity proved overwhelming for smaller towns like Hellesylt and Ålesund, raising questions about the impact of mass tourism on these quaint destinations.

Visited Islas Medes this April for some diving and took my drone along. It was a worthwhile trip. The area is near the town of L'Estartit, and it was quite peaceful as the diving season was just about to start. Come summer, the waters are bustling with boats.

The region's diverse marine life benefits from the confluence of the Ter River and the Mediterranean. It's a diverse dive site, to say the least. Special mention to the gorgonian sea fans, particularly those found deeper than 15 meters. They're experiencing stress due to climate shifts. A temperature spike a few years back resulted in some losses. These organisms take up to 50 years to reach the sizes you see in this video.

On a side note, got lucky with the accommodation. The hotel upgraded me to a nice suite, making the trip even more enjoyable.

For the film style, I chose an anamorphic cinemascope effect. Thought it provided a unique perspective on these fascinating environments.
