You will never be everybody’s cup of tea and that’s okay.

Reactivity is a challenge and there’s no specific formula to avoid it. It isn’t breed specific and it can develop at any time. It isn’t a specific characteristic to rescue dogs either. Be patient and be kind to your dog or fellow dogs you’ve encountered who I like to call “special” . Because that’s what they are, special beings who just need a little more time to warm up, a little more patience a little more understanding 💛

A d v e n t u r e

Past couple months have been out of the ordinary for us. A mix of family medical issues, having to move (twice) this year and trying to stay sane all at the same time🤪

Mylo & Gabi are a great reminder to take a chill pill and let things go with the flow. Going out on walks, paddling with waves and getting to meet with some of our favorite people and dogs has helped a lot.

You’re never too old to learn new things.
You’re never too young to know better.
Keep going.
Your dogs believe you can. So you must!

1,461 days celebrating my best friend.

As luck would have it Mylo and I almost share the same bday’s (24 hour difference) so ever since adopting Mylo we celebrate together.

Can’t possibly imagine growing old without him. He’s shaped my life in so many incredible ways and he has no idea 😅

Things I’ve stopped doing FOR my dog who has big old feelings

1. Fact of the matter is, no one else in this world knows your dog like you do.. sometimes people don’t mean to be harmful but still listen to your gut - trial and error is my best friend.

2. This one is a doozy 🙃 you always want to set up your big feelings pup for success so the best way to do that is NOT OVERDOING it 👀

3. We’ve all walked down the street before and said “oh wow I wish…was like that” it’s a human thing to do really. I’ve fallen for this multiple times. Every dog has his strengths and weaknesses don’t forget that.

In honor of Mylo being 4 years old this month thought I’d share these three “tips” that I’ve learned these years. Mylo is my bff and I can’t imagine a world without him and HIS BIG OLD FEELINGS 🫶🏼

I really love that photo, really love the volunteers I’ve been so lucky to meet.. rescue world makes you dislike most humans but these people have my heart and are my real life hero’s 💕

DOG MOM MONDAY

I told myself this year I’d give myself time to do things I enjoy just as much as I give time to my dogs so they can do things they enjoy

So im back to reading those crazy thrillers that keep me up at night😂 Read these two during January (last photo) and going for two more during February (and I can do this and still hang with my bffs of course)

Puppy alert 🚨 SWIPE ➡️➡️➡️

Pictured you find Leo, Mila, Lily and Todd. 4 of 8 siblings found by our friend in PR with their mom in a nearby dumpster. Puppies are around 7 weeks old and are currently in Puerto Rico

Thankfully is willing to help us out but we need foster homes or adopters in order to bring them over

1 female and 1 male puppy (not pictured) have happily been adopted and are just waiting to get their shots and then will be ready for them freedom flight ✈️ here to South Florida

Thank you 2023 for all the adventures 🐾

Mylo and Gabi are close to perfection so they don’t need to set any goals this year but I’m still a work in progress so I’ve set a couple of realistic resolutions that bring me joy

One of those goals is to get my reading time back to normal so if you have any recommendations please SHARE (Big fan of true crime, thrillers , anything that keeps me up at night hehe)

Adopted a Sato and turned out to be an undercover Red Nose Reindeer 🎄

Merry Christmas Eve amigos! We are really excited to spend Nochebuena with our entire family and eat some delicious food

Christmas Eve is big for our Latino family, it’s when we celebrate,open gifts at midnight and just enjoy each other’s company. Christmas Day is pretty much for eating leftovers and sleeping in 🤭

We currently have no tiny humans in our family so the majority of gifts under the tree are for Mylo, Gabi and Mochie 😂

A little Burrito with a side of Sass 🔥

Gabi’s vet told us yesterday that she is the most unique looking dog she’s ever seen 😂

And that she acted like a big dog in a little dogs body (BDE: big dog energy) so that just confirmed what I’ve been saying since day one 😂

This girl right here has no idea how to play with dogs under 30lbs..but LET HER PLAY with Mylo’s close friends (50lbs and UP) and she goes wild. Funniest little nugget I’ve ever met

My muse 🫶🏼

Mylo here has been with me since he was four months old and since day one I’ve been taking photos of him NON-STOP😂 (HE’S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL I WANT ALL THE MEMORIES)

I don’t know if it’s a me thing but I swear he knows when the camera is on him. He’s so magical in so many ways… I just love this Sato

Can’t wait to spend another Meri Crismas out adventuring with this boy.

Your middle of the week reminder that it’s okay to do things you love on weekdays too :)

We have this habit of planning all the fun stuff for the weekend and there’s nothing to look forward to during the weekdays (which kinda puts me in a guck mood)

So I’ve been trying to add at least one fun thing to do during the week. It’s hard since work days can drain you but you can start out small (Plus anything you do with your pup automatically adds the fun factor to it 💃🏻)

P.s. how peaceful does Mylo look just smelling that good old salty air ✨
