Roman Catholicism Discussion: Salvation + Conclusions
The 10th (and final) part of our study on Roman Catholicism. This week we discussed SALVATION, how a person is made right in God's sight, how does a person enter heaven, how are sins washed clean. In transitioning to the final conclusion, the Roman Catholic view of salvation is compared to the Bible, to historical Christianity, and Protestantism.
Finally, we conclude whether the Roman Catholic worldview, in light of this study, is reasonable and whether it seems to reflect Biblical teaching.

Roman Catholicism Discussion: Mass
Join me for the seventh part of our study on Roman Catholicism. This week we'll discuss the the most important sacrament: Mass/Eucharist. This is a regularly recurring sacrifice of the real body and blood of Jesus.
We will look at both the relevant history and Bible verses on this subject. I'll probably get into quite a bit of Bible verses since it gets at some very foundational concepts.
Please bring your comments and questions! If you can't join live, send them beforehand. I would love for this to be a study that you actively participate in!
Roman Catholicism Discussion: Sacraments (Continued)
Join me for the sixth part of our study on Roman Catholicism. This week we'll finish our discussion on the seven sacraments. These are seven things which, by the participation of a Roman Catholic, convey God's grace.
We will look at both the relevant history and Bible verses on this subject. There are verses I've posted to the page if you're interested in looking ahead of time.

Roman Catholicism Discussion: Mary
The fourth part of our study on Roman Catholicism. This week we discussed the four Marian Dogmas. These are four things about the Saint Mary that one must believe otherwise they estranged from the Roman Catholic Church. In discussing these dogmas, we'll get into the historical development of them and what exactly the Roman Catholic Church bases its knowledge of these dogmas on.
Please bring drop your comments and questions below. Next week will be on the Sacraments!

What is Roman Catholicism?
An Introduction to Roman Catholicism
Can You Reasonably Conclude Someone is Not Accurately Reporting Their Own Beliefs?
I think you can and here's how.
This has major implications for Christian/atheist dialogues, but the principles are universal.
Have tough conversations, speak your mind..reasonably, peaceably, and humbly.
Where Do You Get Your Beliefs About God?
We all have beliefs about God, the afterlife, the spiritual realm, and whatnot. 🧎♂️👻🧘♂️🕋⛩☯️
Have you ever stopped to wonder where you get those beliefs? Did they just plop into your head one day without rhyme or reason? Are they based on a feeling or a trustworthy source? 🤔❓
Here's a short, thought-provoking clip from an interview I did had with my mentor. There's a link in the comments to the full discussion! 👇
I think it's well worth checking out; probably the best thing I've put out on this page. It's at least the most helpful for folks who are unsettled on a religion or are particularly curious and searching. 🙌
Finding Religious Truth or Making It Up?
📢 The 2nd Part to Tips for the Religiously Curious is out now! 📢
Check out the first bite-sized Facebook video clip I made below. In it, Jim Shaul talks about the decision to either find right religious beliefs/practices or to choose your beliefs based on preference (i.e., to make them up). It really was a great conversation that I hope you benefit from.
