Last week we tapped into the the trans-Atlantic tubes and shared pints with Falco, aka Andy Falkous of mclusky, future of the left and Christian Fitness. I want to refer to him as a "bloke" but that is silly and I have never said that out loud. If you like loud music put your ears to it!

Incredible pianist Keith Kirchoff talks to Matt and Joe about classical music in modern setting, life as a pianist, the brewing industry, home brewing and belgian beers. http://www.keithkirchoff.com/

We bellied up to a (virtual) bar with our friend and colleague Anna Keaney. She is largely responsible for the visual languages of both Springdale Beer Co. and Jack's Abby Craft Lagers, and is a lovely human being. Not to mention, a huge music nerd and playlist fanatic. Tune in!

I threw together a handful of songs that's a mix of any of the bands I could find on Spotify that I got to see Piebald with, as well as some other stuff that I was listening to at the time. Unfortunately there's only 1 Damn Personals song on the spotifies, and no Center of the earth, Air Tight Garage, a severe lack of Karate songs and all sort of other bands from then I couldn't find. But what I found made me think of driving around in my 1979 Box Brown Chevy Malibu playing CDs on a discman with that tape adapter that everyone knows about.

We got a chance to talk to one of our favorite frontmen and songwriters this week, Travis Shettel of Piebald and TS & The Past Haunts! Piebald was such a huge part of the local punk and hardcore scene we grew up in, and they remain as idiosyncratic as ever. Travis was kind to share stories and beers with us, and we talked lots about his other craft as a bartender. Hey! Check it out...

Drumroll please...😁 Here it is, one of our first projects; Compilations with Cause (CwC)!

CwC is a monthly handpicked multi-genre mixtape series featuring the music of some of my favorite Boston (and I hope beyond too) artists! The goal of this project is to support and promote the work of those organizations advocating, inspiring and organizing positive social change in our communities.

I’m hoping that by riding the wave of excitement surrounding “Bandcamp Fridays”we can raise some both funds and awareness for the music and the orgs!

This very first compilation will benefit East Boston Community Soup Kitchen!!

Featuring music from Prateek, Service, Genie Santiago, TIFFY, Lonely Leesa & The Lost Cowboys, Meiwei Music, SATURNIIDS, Moedotcom, Senseless Optimism, The Spearmint Sea, Shepherdess, Motivate Merren and Harsh Foxing! Thank you to these amazing folks for their contributions to this project!

Head to https://compilationswithcause.bandcamp.com/releases and click the follow button so you’ll be reminded when the link goes live this Friday, March 5th!!!

02/03/2021

We are so excited for our upcoming month of shows. Friends and heroes alike will be joining us to share pints and tall tales. Linking some friends you can support below - remember, this Friday is Bandcamp Friday!
