Despite signing CR7 Ronaldo, Saudi giants, Al-Nassr FC fail to win league title

Al Ettifaq held Al Nassr FC to a 1-1 tie today, denying the latter the possibility of winning the league title of the current season. Al Nassr signed Cristiano Ronaldo in November 2022 after he had become a free agent for a wobbling $200m a year. Prior to joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo had who had a very difficult season at Manchester United.

Luton Town Football Club Promoted to Premier League Football

Luton Town FC is now a Premier League club. They gained promotion to the Premier League after winning the Championship playoff, beating Coventry in a penalty shoots 6-5. Here are major milestones in the life of Luton Town FC:

• In 2014, they were promoted to EFL after winning the National
League
• In 2018, they were promoted to League One
• In 2019, they were champions of League One after one season
• 2023, they won the Championship playoff final

Paul Chouta, Popular French Language Blogger has left the country

On his page, he announced that Reporters Without Borders had offered him a scholarship in Germany.

In the recent past, Paul Chouta has had a dose of persecution as a journalist, including imprisonment, assassination attempts, kidnapping and constant tailing.
Paul Chouta was among the first to announce the death of Martinez Zogo, a journalist, who was kidnapped, tortured and assassinated in Yaounde last January 17th.
Weeks and months after the death of Martinez Zogo, Paul Chouta reported that he was being tailed by unknown persons.

His thousands of followers pressured him to leave Cameroon due the threats on his life. His departure is a welcome relief for his family and friends who believe he has found a safe haven in Germany.
