The annual Qur’anic convention is a three-day religious activity during which the noble Qur’an is being Rajab (the 7th month of the Islamic lunar calendar) and ends on the first Friday of the same month.

This spiritual exercise was instituted by the late Shaykh Alhaji Ahmad Abdullahi Maikano rta. (d.2005) of blessed memory. He begun this exercise with a humble beginning in 1963 at his residence at Prang in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.

Shaykh Maikano rta instituted this convention based on three main purposes thus;
1. To gain the trust of Almighty Allah,
2. For the upliftment of Islam and Muslims in Ghana,
3. For peace and tranquility to continue to reign in mother Ghana.

The actual number of times the noble Qur’an is noble recited during the three-day convention is Three Hundred and Thirteen (313). Those who due to one reason or the other cannot do a complete recital of the Qur’an are to recite Suratul Ikhlas (Qul huwallah), the one hundred and eleventh (111th) chapter of the Qur’an as much as they can.

All individual and group of persons from far and near who participate in the Qur’anic recitation are to submit the number of times recited to Alhaji Abdullahi, the secretary to the household of Shaykh Maikano on Friday morning for coalition before the Friday congregational prayer (jummuah).

The Tijjaniyya Muslim fraternity in Ghana on Friday 7th of August 2020,woke up to the sudden news of the demise of its National Organizer and spokesperson for Shaikh Abdullahi Maikano Jallo,Late Alhaji Ameer Abdul Mumeen Mohammed at Asokore-Effiduase in the Sekyere East district of the Ashanti Region.
His sudden death occurred after battling with sickness.The mortal remains of Shaikh Ameer has since been laid to rest on Saturday August 8,2020 at his residence in Asokore Ashanti.

The Tijjaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana under the able leadership of its President and Supreme leader Khalifa Shaikh Ahmed Abulfaid Maikano was joined by thousands of Sympathizers including a representative from the Office of the Vice President his Excellency Dr. Alhaji Mahamud Bawumia to perform the final funeral rites of the late Shaikh Ameer Abdul Mumeen today.

In a tribute read by Hussein Abdul Mumeen on behalf of Ameer’s Children,he described their beloved father as a leader per excellence,a spiritual leader,a teacher,a Moshie Chief of Prang,a councilor,a role model and above all a primus inter pares all in one,one in all.
Hussein outlined the role of Ameer in the establishment of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana which was inaugurated by his Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo on 15th December,2019.

In his remarks,the President of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Council Khalifa Shaikh Ahmed Abulfaid entreated all to emulate the good life well lived by Ameer Abdul Mumeen Saying “Ameer has served Islam and humanity throughout his lifetime.I pray we get a replacement which I know will take us a long time “

The rites saw the attendance of Shaikhs,Ulamau,Traditional rulers,Religious Chiefs,the Security services and Government Officials.

Shaikh Ameer Abdul Mumeen left behind 10 children of which 6 are males 4 females.

On Friday 16th July 1926, The Great Islamic Icon of our Era was born in the western region, in a town called Takwa Aboso, This Islamic Cleric Maulana Sheiwu Abdulahi Ahmed maikano Jalloo founded Muslim council of Ghana, He was the first Chief Imam of Ghana Army Force during late Prez Nkrumah Era, He was the first Islamic Scholar to travel to Azhar University to study in the year 1952, He was among the big 9 scholars of Ghana that travel to Senegal to meet with Sheiwul Islam Sheikh Ibrahim Niass in the year 1947, he is the light and pride of Tijaniya Muslim Ummah of Ghana.

Ghana was in darkness and extreme confusion. Disbelief and Idol Worship at it highest peak in our northern part. He came around and established laa ilaaha illah lahu Muhamadu Rasululahi S.A.W.

He even made Soldiers of Burma Camp parade with Lahilaha Ilalahu when he was then their Imam at Army force,

He was selfless. Both the Rich, Poor, Old and Young benefited from his diligence and establishment of Justice and Equality.

He gave Islam a Voice. For his sake we can call the Azan and use Loudspeakers for Sermons, Salat and other Islamic Programmes.

This is the father of Abulfaid Khalifa Rahma Know as Afa Maikano in the Northern region, Ustaz by people of Parai and Koalaq, Baba by Sheiwu Ibrahim Niass of Koalaq, baba Giwa and Modibo by our grandfathers but is real name is Maulana Sheiwu Abdulahi Ahmed Maikano Baba Jalloo of bless memories

Born on June 26, 1960 in Bawku,He began his Arabic education in the hands of his father’s student Shaikh Tahir Arabi at Prang and was subsequently moved to the Six battalion of infantry at Takoradi where his father works as the national chief Imam of Ghana Arm Forces and later transferred to Burma camp in Accra.
He together with his father Shaikh Abdullahi Maikano came back home on the 26th of February 1966 after the overthrow of President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He continued his circular education at Madrasatul Isti-aniyya with Mallam Ahmadu Gundama as his tutor.
In 1969,One Alhaji Draman MP sort for a permission from his father and enrolled him in Dannufawa prim. Sch. in Prang marking the first step in his formal education.
His quest in seeking knowledge took him to Senegal in 1976 where he enrolled in a French learning School and the Shaikh Abdullahi Nyass Institute of Islamic Studies with Shaikh Muhammad Nazir Nyass as the director.
On 9th September 1985,he went to Egypt to study at Mahd Rush’di Islamic Institute.
He returned home on the 29th of January 1993 and further his education at the institute of Languages in Tamale in the northern region of Ghana.

He is the brain behind the establishment of the Tijjaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana which was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Ghana his Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo on December 15,2019.
Annually, he reverts over hundreds of non Muslims into the Islamic religion.It is in his achievements for reverting a whole village including their chief to Islam.Since he became the successor of his father in September 2005,Thousand of people have accepted Islam through his endless effort of propagating Islam.
On behalf of Muslims and the followers of Tijjaniyya faith worldwide,I say A HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION TO the reviver of Islam and Tijjaniyya HIS SPIRITUAL EMINENCE KHALIFA SHAIKH AHMED ABULFAID ABDULLAHI MAIKANO JALLO.

Mallam Usman (The National Imam) said in 1973 to Jallo that "You are the future of Tijjaniya in Ghana, seeing you makes us feel proud of being called Tijjaniyas" Mallam Usman still lives, you can ask him this! meaning he's telling us the leadership role and works of Jallo as a Leader. Sheikh Salis Shaban also said to Jallo in 1992 at Prang. "You are truly our Sheikh. And we are proud to have you as a leader in us because Baye also feels proud having mureed like you" Sheikh Salis still lives, you can ask him this! Abdul Wadud Ciessey also said to Jallo in 1993 at Techiman Mawlid "You are the breath of Allah on earth, you are the only one Allah listens to, you are the dictionary of Islam at large, he added by saying, we are fortunate having you in our era" he also lives, you can ask him this! This Mallams I've mentioned are those having students shouting SAY NO TO DIVISION IN TIJJANIYA. So now where's the division because we are all mureeds to Jallo and He's the only Sheikh Ghana have.you can confirm it from what they said about Him. The problem is, some mureeds disrespected their Sheikh and so they have been dispelled from us. Sacking you doesn't mean there's a division. Tijjaniya remains one in Ghana!

Maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta was not happy about the move then , because he doesn't want leave maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta at all , but what can he do the order came from his supremacy BAYE NIASSE RTA , so , there is nothing he can say . this is what maulaanaa sheikh Saanii Awwalu rta said to maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta ( I quote ) I know very well if I approached you for the second time you will still ignored my message that is why I approached our overlord maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta , because I know you can not denied him the request , and they smiles and maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta said ( I quote ) you deserved everything and we are together in everything and everywhere . maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta came back home and honour the scholarship . he left the shores of Ghana for the AZHAR university Egypt in 1951 , when maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta came back from Kaolack senegal he spent some few days in PRANG - PARAI then he proceeded to Tarkwa Aboosu his birth place . later Sheikh Abdul Razaaq Taahiru rta courtesy visit to him at Tarkwa Aboosu , after greetings maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta asked sheikh Abdur Razzaaq Taahiru rta ( I quote ) any message for me ? And Sheikh Abdul Razzaaq Taahiru rta responded ( i quote ) there is good and new development I would love to share with you but with your permission , maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta said ( I quote ) permission granted what is it about ?, bring it out and let us share . sheikh Abdur Razzaaq Taahiru rta proceeded ,and to also asked you permission for it , I'm leaving to study at Azahar University Cairo Egypt to further my education . maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta said ( I quote ) great this is indeed a good news for both of us , but asked sheikh Abdur Razzaaq Taahiru rta to wait , by then pressure was coming from Accra for sheikh Abdur Razzaaq Taahiru rta to hurry up to come to Accra because everything was ready for him to fly . but maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta insisted that he should wait , later maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta told sheikh Abdur Razzaaq Taahiru rta that ( I quote ) we are leaving this shores Ghana together to study at Azhar University Cairo Egypt . sheikh Abdur Razzaaq Taahiru rta was happy and excited that they are leaving the shore of Ghana together . they left the shores of Ghana 1951 to study at the university of Azhar Cairo .
But maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Ahmad Maikano Jalloo rta came back to Ghana in 1956 . and he went back to kaolack and showed his gratitude of big thanks to maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta .
Later a proposal came from the president of the first republic H.E , Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah for him to become an imaam , and he later accepted the proposal with the permission from Maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta and became the National chief imaam to the Ghana armed forces .

If it were to be today's imaams and scholars of today they would have sold the scholarship to non Muslims . may Allah save us from these current worldly material leader . my brother there is nothing like Sympathy in this . rather is was BAABA JALLOO RTA efforts for this great achievement .

On November 22nd 1992 was the exact date Rawlings visited Shaykh Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano in Prang after Asr prayers closed to Maghrib prayers. When Jallo came into the His sitting hall, He said to Rawlings to come near Him. So He holds both hands of Rawlings and said to Him to look directly into His eyes and prayed for Him. After the prayers, Jallo spoke English to Rawlings which He said "Am not loving you but am loving your work. I will pray for you and you will be the first President of the 4th Republic of Ghana" out of surprised, Rawlings removed his spectacles and said to Jallo, are you sure? Then Jallo said to Him after you finish your 8years tenure in office, I can add additional 4years to you. Rawlings kept quiet looking at Jallo at the same time nodding his head in surprise. Rawlings said to Jallo, I need permission of living because from here I will go to Yeji for campaign but Jallo said to him, even from here you can return home and sleep because I've already talked to Allah on your behalf and so you are the President now in the sight of Allah, if humans refused voting for you, Jinns and fishes will come out to vote for you. Right after the election Jallo went to Accra for the Mawlid of the National Imam even before the swearing in of Rawlings. After the Mawlid, a student of Jallo from Takoradi by the name Abubakar Adam was beaten and burnt so the national Imam informed Jallo which they all moved to Takoradi for the burial rites. When they got to Takoradi the co**se was out and prayers for the co**se was about to start but Jallo said to them check well you've turned the co**se, so they opened it and saw it which they quickly turned it well. Jallo at that time was holding the hands of the National Imam which they were standing together but Rawlings instructed a Soldier to quickly separate them which nearly turned into exchange of words between Sheikh Kalamu and Dagomba Chief of Accra with the Soldier but Jallo stopped them and said to them, the soldier is just doing his work.....

After the shooting of Imam Ali way back in 1993. While Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano was on the Munbar preaching, He got touched about the incident that happened. He was to the gathering in the mosque "what's my fault to you which has now gotten to a limit of shooting me" while He saying this, His son Sheikh Mai Haskey was seriously weeping in the mosque. The then Zongo Chief of Prang said to Mai Haskey to stop crying and exercise patience but Jallo said to the Chief "Sarki, let him cry because every true son wouldn't be happy if His father is touched"

Maulaanaa sheikh Abdullaahi Maikano Bayero rta Amiir of kano state was born in 1881 in Kano state Nigeria as a prince , he was appointed and affirmed that the mantle of ruler ship has been placed on him indicating he was the next king to the throne in 1926 , and he was crowned and became the substantic king of Kano state in April 1927 . and answered the call of his creator Allah subhaanahuu wa Ta'aalaa in 1953 .
In the year 1940's in his great vision as an observer and visionary he wanted his era as a king to be most beneficiary and recognised by the people of the Kano state , he decided to change the Kano state to become one of the attractive and charismatic state in business and trading within and outside Nigeria with people from different places .
Amiir Abdullaahi Bayero rta is a great saint and scholar , he waked up one morning and realised that his vision for his Kano state people needs a huge prayers and sacrifices , so he summoned all great saints in the Kano state and put his vision before them and they all hail and shout out for accepting the decision as a good and great vision . one of the saint said , it is indeed a very difficult one but Allah is bigger than everything . the king was pushing that agenda for his Kano state people when Allah called him
He answered the call of his creator Allah subhaanahuu wa Ta'aalaa in 1953 .
After his demise his successor Amirr Sanuusi Bayero rta , the grandfather of this current Amirr Sanuusi who was dethroned recently continued with the vision his father was , that was where Maulaana Sheikh saanii Awwalu rta mentioned the name of maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta to the king , that was the beginning of maulaanaa sheikh saanii Awwalu rta problems with his colleague saints in Nigeria started , the reason was , why should he introduced a total stranger to Kano State king , by then none of this Nigerian scholars know about maulaanaa sheikh ibrahiima niasse rta . and maulaanaa sheikh saanii Awwalurta was the only person who maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahiima Niasse rta was familiar to , that also contributed for his settlement in Ibadan . but after all these problems maulaanaa sheikh ibrahiima niasse rta was invited to Kano through the efforts of maulaanaa sheikh saanii Awwalu rta purposely for that great vision . Maulaanaa sheikh Ibrahim Niasse rta did exactly what Kano state king wanted for his people and it was successful . may Allah bless us all , To be continue

Sharing the properties of Alhaji Mumuni Oluman popularly known as Alhaji caught the eyes of many Ghanaians. Many scholars refused the invitation of sharing it among the children and wives of Naira due to the pressure in it while many charged huge amounts of money before accepting to share. When Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano was invited to share it, He came and shared it to the surprised of anyone. It all ended with joy among the Naira family. After the they gave Jallo huge amount of money which He rejected and added to them 50million old cedis, for them to add it in the uncompleted mosque Naira left.

2020 EIDUL FITR MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF TIJJANIYYA MUSLIM COUNCIL OF GHANA

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalamu alaikum fellow Muslim brothers and sisters specifically the Jallo fraternity of the world and the Tijjaniyya Muslim Council of Ghana.
I thank the almighty Allah for prolonging our lives to witness the successful end of the blessed month of Ramadan in which he instructed us to fast for twenty-nine or thirty days.We started this journey with some of our brothers and sisters but they could not witness the end.May their souls rest in perfect peace.May he forgive our trespasses before,during and after this holy journey.

Allahu Subhanahu wa Ta’ala said in the holy Quran chapter 2 verse 183 “and if you fast is the best for you if ye know”

I will like to use this opportunity to remind you of the six-day voluntary but very important fasting in the month of Shawwal(Sittu Shawwal).There is a lot of benefits in observing it as narrated in the Hadith of the Holy Prophet Muhammad S A W.

To my mothers and sisters who missed some days of the fasting due to monthly menstruation,I encourage you to pay for it as quickly as possible before shawwal ends.

May Allah deliver the world from this COVID 19 pandemic.
Remember to stay home and stay safe.

THE LAST POWERFUL SPEECH...
On the 2nd of September 2005 at Kubra (Kumasi). Mawlana Shaykh Abdullahi Maikano advised His mureeds. He said, we should always be punctual at Wazeefa and Hailala no matter how busy we are for the day. He said, we should put our five daily prayers first in anything we do, we should be seeing ourselves in ourselves. Jallo said, we will lack nothing here and hereafter if we adhere to His teachings. Whatever that will happen between us, we should first remember where we started and try to continue with our walk in Allah. After that He said everyone should try and perform Wazeefa and that particular Hailala of that day with Him. Jallo said I have forgiven anyone and said to the public, I have done a Tajdeed to any of you here. He said, at last I have left you with the book Ruhul Adab of Sheikhu.

WHAY HAPPENED AFTE ACCEPTNG ABDUL WADUD TO SUCCEE SHEH ALHAJI HARUNA AS NARRATOR OF SHEIKH AHMAD TIJAAN'S HlSTOR AT THE MAULUD OF PRANG ............................................................................Abdul Wadud was made to take the place of Sheikh Alhaji Haruna and as a narrator of the history of Sheikh Ahmed Tijani (R. A.) at the Maulud of prang in 1984.This trend of historical narraation continued for sixteen good years till the year 2001 when Abdul Wadud refused to attend the Maulud. Hajia Aayatu. one of the daughters Sheikh Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano (R. A.) was late married to him which came about as a result of suggestion from her brothers.As time went on, Abdul Wadud felt so proud of himself and began seeing himself as the next man of God to come or emerge after Sheikh Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano (R. A.) has passed away. He was loved and cherished by the household of Sheikh Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano (R. A.) and most followers and disciples.
Owing to that leadership ambition of his. he later tried to sabotage any diligen and Scholarly learned fellow who emerges among the disciples of Sheikh Alhaji Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano (R. A.)

In houses which Allah has permitted voices to be raised to honor and for His Name to be remembered in them; He is glorified there day and night by virtuous men whom neither trade nor merchandise could distract their attention from the remembrance of Allah.

Those who believe and their hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah; indeed, from the constant remembrance of Allah, spiritual tranquility of the heart prevails.

The household of Sheikh Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano Jallo has justifies to the whole world their life overtly and covertly toward the rememberance of Allah. Sheikh Ibrahim Niasse, would always be and admired the bravity and tranquility with which Sheikh abdullahi followed.

The heart, soul, mind and the entire cognitive faculties of Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano is completely inundated with immense love, loyalty and exceptional attachment for Islamic, the hallowed path of tijaniya and the divine flood of sheikh Ibrahim (Al-Faidha).

The pictured below was taken on Saturday, 24th November 1984 at a Mawlid ground. Factually, the venue is unknown to me, as we can see in the picture is Sheikh Abdullahi Jallo and young Sheikh Abdul-Wadud Cisse. During that time, there's nothing like defenders or cissewa/ Osmaniya/Jallo. The only name was Yan-Faidha (The Faidhist) and the leadership was under the undisputed Sheikh Abdullahi Maikano Jallo.

At that time, Sheikh Abdul Wadud knows, Cherishes and serves no one more than Jallo, he doesn't know Sheikh Osman Non Sheikh Salis Shaban. To judge with logic, metaphor and physically, Jallo was the master of Abdul Wadud and no one can debunk this claim unless a new comer in this fraternity.

Jallo gave him more than he deserves. Jallo treated him with abundant affection, tenderness and care to the extent that he got a stead in the privacy of Jallo more than the consanguineous children of Jallo. Sheikh Abdullahi gave his own daughter to him to marry. But what was the end product of this unconditional generosity from Jallo to Abdul Wadud? 😭😭😭.

The end matter was very pathetic, wretched and deplorable as new comers in the path who are uninformed, lacking knowledge and understanding arrogating Abdul Wadud to the highest rank more than Jallo. It happens that, people calling themselves seekers acts blasphemously against Jallo and the same darling boy of Jallo (AbdulWadud) was furnished by some of the colleagues of sheikh Abdullahi Maikano Jallo against Jallo.

They together with Abdul Wadud boycotted all the activities that has to do with Jallo to the extent that non of them sent a word of condolence or even partakes in his funeral rites wallahi without any reason. This same shuyukhs are those beteaching the seekers the spirit of good moral (Ruhul Adab). Qouting verses that favors them.
