Let me take you on a journey back to February 2019 - I was unemployed and feeling guilty about spending my days playing video games instead of job hunting. But then, a wild idea struck me - what if I could turn my gaming habit into a way to earn a living? That's when I turned to Twitch.

I set up my channel and hit "Go Live" day after day, streaming to an audience of mostly no one. It was tough, but I didn't give up. Then, on March 31st, tragedy struck - Nipsey Hussle was murdered.
I kept seeing it pop up on my feed, so I looked into him.

The first song I stumbled upon was "Bigger than Lyfe," and the lyrics spoke to my soul. "So life is what you make it
I hope you make a movement
Hope your opportunity survives the opportunists
Hoping as you walk across the sands you see my shoeprint
And you follow, til it change your life, cuz it's all evolution
And I hope you find your passion, cause I found mine in this music," Nipsey rapped. This whole song just sent chills down my spine and I started devouring his entire discography, finding messages of hope and inspiration that resonated with me deeply.
I was introducing Nipsey's music to all my friends and they'd comment how I break down Nipsey's music like bible verses.

I started listening to Nipsey's music on my streams and doing live breakdowns, sometimes coming to tears as I related to his words. And you know what? There is a blueprint to success in music - you just have to listen closely.

Since that day, I've come so far on my journey. Became a wedding photographer, and an extra in a Netflix original movie, and I've read over 50 books.
I feel like I'm just rounding the corner on the first lap and hitting my stride.
I've picked up the baton and started running my own Marathon, and nothing can stop me now. The world needs more people like Nipsey - people who inspire and uplift us to be the best version of ourselves and remind us that we all have greatness within us, and as long as we better ourselves and our comminutes no matter what else happens It's a Victory.

As I let go of my self-consciousness and allow my true authentic self to shine through on my streams, the more the message resonates.

I am constantly reminded of the incredible and dedicated community that has formed around me. Each new subscriber is a humbling reminder of the connections I've made and the impact I have on others.

It's not an easy feat to stand out on Twitch. but with my passion and unwavering dedication, I can connect with my viewers on a deeper level and create a truly engaging and meaningful experience for all of us.

I've "worked" 35 of the 43 weekends so far in 2022. I put that in quotes because I love what I'm doing and it doesn't feel like a job.
Being able to see the smiles on people's faces when they see the photo in the back of the camera is all the confirmation I need to know I'm doing a good job.

*editors note I was looking right at the camera when I took that selfie.
But I can't control these two......

Self-awareness is the name of the game.
Take inventory of your strengths and weaknesses and double down on what makes you, you
But don't be afraid to consider what you think your "weakness" is maybe your greatest strength.
I used to hate my limp; when I was 18 I was going to have corrective surgery and get it "fixed," but as I lay on the gurney about to be taken to the operating room. The doctor came and spoke to me and said if they went forward with the surgery, there was a 45% chance I would never walk again.
I quickly jumped up and ran out of that hospital.

Fast forward to 2019, and I came across Complex talk where he said,

"If I could ever convince all of you that your" shortcomings" and your "detriments" are your greatest strengths, you'd win."

And the rest is "Mystory" in the making. So grab some popcorn and enjoy the ride

The pain of my past made it hard to love.
Especially myself
It took a Tolle
it hurt my soul
But I know pain fuels most of the greatest stories ever told

Eckhart taught me to calm the mind, and take deep breaths
There is power in the NOW; everything in the past don't mean s**t
Extract the lesson, count your blessings
Take advantage our your opportunities before you miss them.
You are stronger than you give yourself credit for
and no one is perfect.
We are all dealing with something we rather not have come to the surface.

Take that risk and live your dreams
Your visions are glimpses into the unseen
Be a doer of the word, don't stand idly by
Because what god gives to you no man can deny...
