I think everyone should 🛑STOP🛑 worrying about trending audio.

Trending audio is great, but also becoming kind of a joke. Overrated. Feeling out of touch.

It really is an awesome way to reach a new audience, but trying to fit your story and information into a trending audio trend can, and does, decrease the overall quality of your content.

❗When you scroll, if you find an audio you like, AND have a great idea for, make it!

But if you are sitting, trying to ponder how to include your own spin on it and make it target your niche, feel free to move on.

That specific trend is probably going to cause you to make a lower quality reel. That may or may not get any reach.

Seriously, still use them if they work.

There is a few things to remember about a caption:

It should have 3 parts:
Hook, body, and call to action (CTA)

🎣 HOOK - This is where you get your patients attention, and make them want to read more

🧍‍♀️Body - This should be packed full of content that expands on the post that it is attached to.

🎤CTA - Ask your client to DO SOMETHING! Like the post, add a comment, follow for more, or sign up for your email list.

Keep captions on-topic and educational (normally).

It IS possible.

The question is, at what cost?

In the last 3 years I have been in the learning about social media and growth world.

It takes time and knowledge, but it IS knowledge many different people have, and anyone CAN learn.

An ideal, or target audience is good to know, but it is not enough.

⭐Your client avatar is going to be your guiding star, your lighthouse in the distance, and the driving force behind all of your content.

Signs you need a client avatar:

💥 You are talking to a general group when you create content
💥 You don’t know what exactly your ideal audience would be doing on a random Thursday night, or how they spend a lazy Sunday morning.
💥 Your content is finding the wrong people

👉A client avatar is a representative person for your whole ideal audience. He or she has a name, occupation, likes, dislikes, hobbies, a family (or not), and emotions.

Take the time to create your client avatar so when you create content, you know EXACTLY who you are talking to like you are talking with a close friend (like I do with you;))

What content pillars do you REALLY need for your practice?⬇️

But first: What content pillars are you currently using in your business?

When it comes to content pillars, remember the 4 P’s:

➡️Purpose, Position, Promotion, and Product.

These will make up the talking points for all of your content.

💫Purpose-> What is at your heart? This is content dealing with your why. Your mission statement and what your goals are.

💫Position-> This is showing your clients your unique niche in the market. What is your expertise and why should they come to you?

💫Promotion-> This is the content that helps clients develop interest in you. Shows them your knowledge and value, without telling them. Educating your audience to help and empower them.

💫Product-> Here is when you actually talk about your services and how you can help them.

HERE'S THE THING THOUGH: Educational, Entertaining, and Promotional content is not specific enough. Your net has been cast too wide and you will probably fall into a cycle that causes content creation and brand tone to be all over the place.

Get specific with what your pillars are, these specific pillars should fall under your main ones in some way. I call these sub-pillars “topics” and I use them to guide the type of content I post everyday.

HOT TAKE: you don’t NEED to be everywhere.👇

How many platforms are you on? Are you as consistent as you would like, or know you need to be?

There are good reasons to show up on more than one platform, however, you can get too much of a good thing.

But we are here to show up ✨authentically✨ and 💫sustainably💫

And I think that for most of us in our small businesses, it is just too much.

Without consistency, all your efforts will be mostly in vein.

⚡Pick 2-4 platforms to be in total, and put the majority of your effort into 1 or 2.

You want to be found wherever you might find new clients, but if you are spread too thin, you can not give your best anywhere.

STOP producing content in the WRONG ORDER!👇🏻

Stressing about social media constantly is not something anyone wants to, or should do.

This is THE most efficient and effective way of giving you your time back AND giving your audience quality content. (This is the exact workflow I would use to create your social media content😱)

SAVE THIS POST so you can find it next time you are getting ready to create content!

This is how I did my content planning this way for the month of December, and I am ready to reveal all of my secrets to you about how this month's planning went smooth and fast!

⚡️Start with your target audience in mind - What are they struggling with and need from you? What are they wanting when it comes to your services?

⚡️Decide on what your overarching topics of the month are going to be (Pick 3-5)

⚡️Organize your content topics into your content calendar

⚡️Type in any specific ideas for posts: keep them reusable and evergreen!

⚡️Write your captions! Focus on your captions. Don’t worry about creating content this day.

They are very different activities for your brain, so switching back and forth will take extra time and mental effort (and we are all about keeping our mental load to a minimum;))

⚡️Create your content that goes with your captions! Creating becomes a breeze when you already know the purpose and in-depth info you are going to be providing.

🥳And you’re off! Post when you planned and your consistency will skyrocket without the constant stress of what you are going to be posting today, tomorrow, or next week!

Let's be real… Sometimes you accidentally start creating content for the wrong person.

Yourself.

But wait! Everyone keeps telling you to have fun and be yourself and just put it out there.

Well… yes and no.

We want you to BE yourself, but not create FOR yourself.

This might look like posting content that your colleagues will think is funny and relatable, but your target audience wont, or creating content that has words or abbreviations that your audience may not even know yet.

Regardless, I want you to create content that is going to attract the patients you want to attract.

So here are 5 questions to ask yourself when batching, brainstorming, or actually creating content to help keep yourself on track.

Here's what you need to know when it comes to creating the right content for you.

01. Use Keywords -> Keywords in your text, bio, and captions is what will help you reach the audience that you are meaning to

02. Provide Value to THE ONE -> Have one specific target client in mind when you create your content. They are the only person you should be concerned about, because that one represents 10s, 100s, potentially 1000s of your perfect patient.

03. Make Trends Your Own -> This one is a little harder. It forces you to not jump on every trend just because it is “trending”. (You want your patients to follow you for you, right?)

04. Get Inspiration from Others in Your Field -> Remember there is a line to walk here. If it is making you feel less-than, the better option is to move on and just do your own thing!

05. This last one is a DO NOT COPY Other Creators!! -> Inspiration, yes. Copy? No. Their ideal client + their personality and brand does not equal effective for you, I promise.

I know its pretty, but it might not be your turn yet⬇

Knowing your colors, fonts, and overall vibe is so important to your brand. But it is FAR from the most important thing. Don't make the mistake of choosing these things FIRST in your branding journey, but rather last.

Here's what to do first:
📌 Pin down your story and your ideal clients story
💬 Get clear on your message and your messaging
😌 Know what emotions you want to bring out in your audience

These things will help you stop fretting over your colors, fonts, and other things that are not the most important when it comes to marketing.

Most people don't like being sold to anymore. And really, people don’t like selling either. But many people just don’t know how to promote in any other way.

YOU already have a leg up, you are selling a service. You are running your private practice, which means you are your brand, and it is easier to incorporate you into your social media strategy!

I want you to think about everything you have posted in the last month, how much of it was talking about the service you provide? Ideally, less than 30%. However, there is another type of poster, the one who doesn't ever mention their services. This is probably the even more dangerous one when it comes to selling online.

Here are the 6 types of posts you need on your page that can overall help you feel, and seem, less salesy:

1.About YOU (not JUST as a business owner)
2.Thought-provoking (give your opinion on a trend, norm, or advice)
3.Behind the Scenes (people want to see you in action)
4. Personal Insights (what have you learned in your niche recently?)
5. Why you do what you do - what benefits does it have (can include testimonials)
6. Your service (the problem you solve)

These are the types of posts you should be making within EACH of your brand pillars,

There isn’t a lot to a bio, but there is a lot that can go wrong.😱

Your bio is a patient's first real experience with you and your brand. They may have seen some of your content, but those are just a few glimpses of the big picture. Your bio is the first overview they see.

Make it easy and straightforward for them to understand who you are and what you do. Potentially why they should care. Who you help. In a way that they will understand (no jargon or abbreviations they may or may not understand).

If someone are unsure if they want to follow you, and make their way to your page, your bio has the potential to make or break your relationship with them. It will impact if they 1) stalk your page and become involved with you and your practice and/or 2) book an appointment with you! (which is the point right?)

Without you, your private practice wouldn’t be a business, let alone a brand.

When thinking about your branding, make sure it also aligns with who you are and what you like.

If it isn’t you, it will not be sustainable, and therefore you may loose your motivation and ability to be consistent.

So remember to incorporate YOURSELF into your private practice’s branding.
