Hello! Still having a lot of trouble making an episode. Having a hard time getting full court transcripts on a very major case from the 80’s. Also just not enough info on so many others I’d like to cover. On top of that, having a lot of personal stuff, including the loss of my mom and 2 fellow actors I was friends with. I will get back to it, it’s just taking time. Thank you to all the old and new followers and, hopefully, listeners!💜💜💜

This episode of one of my personal favorite podcasts, “Murder Mile,” is extremely poignant and heartbreaking. The unsolved torture and killing of Emmy - after her having survived internment by the N***s - is more than criminal: it’s indecent. An important story, and a crime that *needs* solving. This is part one; parts two and three linked in the comments.

It’s been over a year since Shanquella Robinson was killed. No arrests have been made, and the FBI have closed the case due to “lack of evidence.” At the least, the woman beating Shanquella in a video - which I haven’t looked up, but from what I hear, is pretty brutal - should face charges for assault, at best murder. So we need to keep her case alive by keeping her name out there. Repost!!
I will have links to articles about the case in the comments.

Starting back up today on research, so should have an episode out soon!

Just to update: my mom had fallen and fractured her leg in 2022, and ended up bedridden. She couldn’t have surgery due to the combo of her COPD and a heart murmur: it was just too dangerous. She went on hospice, and passed away peacefully on July 19, 2023. I have been suffering from a combination of grief and caregiver burnout on top of my already existing depression and anxiety. But I am determined to get back into the podcast game! In addition to this podcast, I am working on a second, non-true crime one. I’ll have more info on that one when I launch.

I’ll be back in your ears very soon! Thank you all so very, very much for hanging in there! If you are able and willing, please rate and especially review on iTunes (and Spotify, however they let you do it; I know it’s different), an please subscribe!

Also, if you know of a case I should cover, send a DM or email me at [email protected]. I would very much appreciate any suggestions, input, etc.💜💜💜💜

One more time! With just a week to opening night, I should be back on track to dropping episodes. The next one will be a bit less scripted, as it’s a delicate story I want to tell without revealing specifically who it’s about. But it’s too important not to share. I want to do justice to both the story and the subject’s desire for anonymity. Stay tuned!

Thank you to everyone who is following this page and has listened to my podcast! I am on a bit of a hold with the cases I am working on, as I need to pay for records for one of the big ones I’m working in and my husband and I currently don’t have much income (loooonnnnggg story). I *have* started a Patreon, which I need to double check has gone live. If you’d like to donate to this FOIA request, I would greatly appreciate it.

I *am* still working on more episodes, they’re just taking longer than expected, as I am my mom’s caregiver, and she is now bedridden, so takes a lot of my time.

I would also appreciate any reviews on Apple Podcasts, as well as feedback, case suggestions, or just a “hello!” via email, [email protected].

Thanks again for listening! You are all awesome!!!

The skeletal remains a young adult male were found in September 1995 by hunters in the Terrace Creek area near Kelowna, British Columbia. The unidentified male wore distinctive jewelry and is likely to have died at least 10 years before his remains were found.

Hello!!

I would greatly appreciate not only ratings on Apple Podcasts, but reviews! I received a one-star rating, but that person left no review. How can I address any issues with my podcast, or individual episodes, if I don’t have feedback? If you’d prefer, you can also IM me or send an email to [email protected]. Constructive criticism is welcome!

Looking for a unique gift? Redecorating and need some new art? Looking to make a room pop? Check out a local-to-Bakersfield artist Affsha N Bhatti’s pieces at her Instagram account. One of her specialties is a process using paint, glitter, and a resin that makes the pieces literally shine. The process takes a lot of time and work, sometimes more than a week for each piece. I personally own 3 of her pieces, including one of her large, gorgeous swirl paintings. I will post pictures of mine later. But take a look!
