Some marry people who are over-indebted or are under debt review because they dont discuss finances while on courtship. Guys have real conversations before you commit and stop asking useless questions like "o jele?" the whole day.

Have you ever noticed people who don’t frequent property pages are so I’ll-informed when it comes to values and their locations?

Late last year i got a shock when I noticed one of my properties in Soweto went high in municipal value, over 200k and my rates and taxes went high as well. The current municipal value is sitting at most sellers value.

One thing about COJ they never miss to adopt a seller’s value when most properties in that area sells at similar transactional value.

It’s amazing how different people can read the same social media post but interpret it totally differently.

Why? We see through the lens of our perspectives.

This is why it is so crucial for mindsets to be “renewed”. Your perception can either lead to victory or great defeat.

Introspect.

“The obvious way to buy back your time is to pay someone to do something for you. Pay the mechanic to change your oil or a dry cleaner to press your suit.

The less obvious way to buy back your time is to say NO. Passing on a promotion might "buy" you more time with family. Declining the dinner invite might "pay" for the time you need to exercise. We buy back our time not only with the money we spend, but also with the opportunities we decline.

The more clearly you know how you want to spend your days, the easier it becomes to say no to the requests that steal your hours." James Clear

Just like marriage, pregnancy is an achievement for other people, especially when it is planned. Y'all are so used to accidental pregnancies that it shocks y'all when someone treats their pregnancy as an achievement. There's absolutely no need to bring up cars, apartments, and degrees when someone celebrates their pregnancy journey. All of these can be equally celebrated. It's a matter of priority, what is most important to you might not be important to the next person. Each to their own✌️🍃🤍 And le tlhatsweng dipelo☺️

There’s a difference between Curro Whole Schools (found in Affluent areas & are IEB) and there are Curro Academies & Meridian (Township schools, few urban areas & uses National Exam Board). They don’t wear the same uniform.

The fees differs per area LSM. Apparently the standard differs as well.

Dumi Khoza thouroghly explains this.

Kaone is already mimicking her nanny when it comes to house chores. When she wakes up, she tries opening the curtains. She would wonder why it doesn’t move on top and would forcefully do it. When she spills on the table she takes a cloth and wipes off . Lately she takes the broom and mop and try to sweep and wipe 😀😀😀😀😀

The Ekhaya story that I recently watched was very saddening that you can invest for your children and people decide to dispose your assets how they deem when you pass on and leave minors.

This lady had three properties(two houses and one stand), she had two kids and two sisters (siblings). She had a Will and chose one of her sisters as an executor. The sister she chose didn’t have children of her own.

The sister had a house of her own. She was then awarded the letter of authority. She then sold the stand and used the funds to renovate her own house. Since she doesn’t have children, she also has a Will whereby she put the daughter of the deceased as beneficiary of her estate. She is still alive.

Then the other sister took the other house by force, she then forged the letter of authority and sold it to another family. She found a family friend who pretended to be a lawyer who was going to transfer this property. She has passed on and the new family are staying at this house awaiting transfer and they have renovated the house. They took loans to buy this house and are still paying.

She told this new family that the house was her sisters and she’s the one who was left to take care of the kids and showed them the fake letter of authority.

According to deeds search the house still belongs to the owner, mother of the two children.

The children are now legal age so they wanted to find out what happened to their mother’s properties hence they took their story to Ekhaya.

When we started the Be Wise Financial Seminar with Percy Singo our goal was to educate people and ourselves using different speakers with different topics for each event.

We have learned so much as founders from other speakers. Sometimes you don’t need to be a speaker at all events, you can also attend the event and listen/learn from other speakers.

Klaas Tshiluna once said, when you are the only one speaking all the time, you end only hearing yourself. Therefore limiting your chances of learning. But when you decide to take time and listen to others, you find that there’s so much to learn from everyone.

If you are young woman and need someone to inspire you and be your role model, please follow Zama Gawu Spengane. She’s one of the young woman I have seen invest so much in her personal development in many aspects of her life either marriage, career, academic, life in general.

Anything she wanna achieve, she invest her time in it. She applies what she’s learning and the fruits are showing. I’ve never met anyone before who is so dedicated in investing in self like her.

May God continue to bless you Zama. You are an inspiration and deserve to be celebrated.

As soon as there’s life changing event, your life will never remain the same. Most people struggle with accepting people’s transition in life. They expect you to be the same person and lead the same life forever, give them the same time and be available for them like before.

I’ll give few examples. If you were unemployed last year and you secure employment this year. Your life is going to change and you may no longer have the same time you offered to people. Your employment will require more of your time.

If you were single last year and you decide to get married this year. You are going to be a wife or husband to someone and that may require more change of priorities of your time. You are now a family person.

If you are going to be a new mom or dad this year, the baby is going to require most of your time.

But there are people within your close circle who won’t understand this. They will say you have changed since you got a job, got married and you are now a parent.

All I’m trying to say, as the years changes. Never expect the same person within individuals. Life changes, life evolves, so move with them on their transitions. Accept the new them and never expect too much of their time.

In 2024 there’s going to be a lot or few changes in my life, don’t expect me to be available for you all the time when you need me. The Lebo you met in 2020 has gone through a lot of transitions over years.

People haven’t changed, their priorities have changed.

Let’s say you have R15000 monthly as disposal income

If you INVEST this it can INCREASE your future income

If you decide to take a DEBT that’s serviced by this, then it STEALS from your future income

If you decide to SPEND on this it then LIMITS chances of creating a future income.

So this year you can increase your monthly income by paying off some of your debts. Then channel these funds into creating an extra income stream for your extra monthly cashflow or investing it for capital growth for your future income.

What are some of those debts that you will be paying off this year and cancelling them that will increase your cashflow?

I wanna close off a one bond and a cellphone contract.

During that time of Idols, I was rooting for one guy who ended up winning. I won’t mention their name for protection.

I use to post a lot of support for him and would even vote for them. Kanti their relative is a Facebook friend. She was watching my support for this idol. She then inbox, told and pleaded with me to stop posting about this person and I must also stop voting for him as well.

Cause they are related, if he can win. They won’t rest in the family cause the mom is already acting like her child won. She even said I must vote against him cause that what she’s doing.

Then I went to this idol page to check if she does comment. I found that on this idol winner page she’s pretending to be giving him full support.

I continued voting for this guy, he eventually won and became superstar.

I then removed her from my friend list. Some of your relatives ba ya si inbox and talk bad about you because of how well we relate with you on these streets. In all essence i don’t entertain such people

There was this lady from my hood we grew up together, she became my FB friend. She used to be irritated by my Property and Finance posts. She will only commment when there’s something negative to say. Many people noted her and they would wonder why is she so negative. She would even go to the hood and ask people “lebo o tsebela kae dillo tsa di property and money”

No matter how some of you find the posts educational, some they get irritated by my finance posts especially people who know me personally.

All I want to say is there’s someone who will bored, shocked or irritated by your posts but they won’t remove you. It’s Human nature that makes us to want everyone to be common or do things like we do. Because I don’t post my kids, why are you posting your kids. I don’t post my relationship, don’t post yours. If we were to follow what people usually dictate to us on what to post. Social media would be blank cause everytime someone doesn’t relate with everything that’s posted by another. So DO YOU BOO, those who relate will follow.

To add on my previous post.

When I started high school I was 11 years old. On that first day my uncle accompanied me to school, I was allocated a class.

On the second day, when I in class. A friend of my Aunt came to class. I was sitting on the front desk of the class. He was shocked to find me there.

He then asked, what are you doing here?

I told him I just got registered yesterday and that’s my classroom. He then said, hebanna so you are now in high school. So that means you and I are now in the same classroom.

Then he proceeded with worry. He was repeating the grade not sure for how long. He was 8 years older than me and my aunts friends. That didn’t sit well with him. He then told the class that “I raised this child, I cannot be in the same class as her. I’m dropping out. This is the last day you see me in here”

He left the classroom

He indeed dropped out. Then years later he was arrested for a crime then came out of prison.

Everytime I come across him I was left with guilt that this guy dropped out of school because of me. So everytime when people tell me so and so dropped out cause they didn’t wanna be in same grade with people who were younger, or cousins and siblings. The story of this guy resonates.

I just sit and think, so people really throw away their lives due to another.

I feel there should be an organisation that supports people who are repeating grades and there should be counselling at school for such instances.

Your performance at work should match your income all the time. No matter how little you believe your income is, you accepted the offer so you should deliver as expected.

If you still have the mindset of saying whether I deliver at work or not, I still get paid. Just know that even this year, that earning won’t work for you. You will complain that I get paid but I can see fruits of my labour. First question should be, have I earned this income or did you labourer for it, did I accept money from my employer without earning it?

You need to earn your money. Deliver as expected, know your purpose why you are there.

ANY INCOME THAT’S NOT EARNED CANNOT WORK
