MY SATURDAY DOINGS
HALF BAG OF FRIED RICE
(HOW TO COOK FRIED RICE)
INGREDIENTS
Rice--5 painters
Vegetable oil--4 liters
Seasoning cubes---1 packet
Ginger, garlic, tumeric---Quantity
Mivina---1 packet
Kitchen glory-- 1 packet
Benny---5 small satchets
Gyma( mixed spices)-1 bottle
Curry powder--1medium packet
Onions----Quantity
Pepper----Quantity
Green beans
Green peas----6 tins
Fresh corn---6 tins
Carrot
Green pepper
Kidney beans----6 tins
Spring onions
Liver( well I didn't use it for this one)

PROCEDURE
1. Preparing the rice
A. In a big bowl, pour hot boiling water into the rice, stir together and leave for about 20 mins. Then drain the water, pour in cold water and wash the rice with salt, thoroughly and severally till your rice is clean. Then set aside.
B. Put your washed chicken in a pot, season it very well and put on fire without water, let it steam until it brings out its own water then add more water and cook till soft. Remove the meat from the stock and fry, then set aside, sieve the stock to remove all particles
C. Put the sieved stock on fire, add more curry powder,pound and sieved tumeric, ginger and garlic and some salt. Let it boil. Taste and correct seasoning. Then add the washed rice into the boiling stock, cook till soft but not too soft. Just soft enough to be eaten. Ensure you cook with just enough water that can cook the rice and dry in it. When the rice is well cooked, you can remove from the fire if you can or just turn off your heat source.
2. Preparing the veggies
1. Chop all your veggies neatly and finely to small size
2. Open all the canned veggies, drain their water and rinse them in clean water
3. Put a dry pot on fire, add some vegetable oil, let it heat up, add some onions, and stir. Then add all the vegetables starting with green beans, carrot etc, as you add you stir. Let green pepper be the last. Add your spices, seasoning cubes, pepper and salt to taste. Stir very well and remove from heat.
