Many people with Down syndrome have blood pressures on the lower side of normal or lower than normal. A typical blood pressure for each person with Down syndrome is unique to that individual. It is important to check blood pressure periodically (such as at appointments with your health care provider). If an individual becomes ill, it is helpful to be able to compare their blood pressure to their typical blood pressure. “Nick received a scholarship for two years and started at Gwynedd Mercy University in a four year integrated care certificate program. He did six internships during his four years! He is currently completed a four month program at Disney while living in an apartment with three roommates and working at Hollywood Studios as a Park Greeter. He graduated on May 18 and is hoping to extend the Disney program.”
