A stunning piece of paradise, Jericoacoara is out of this world. The tranquil atmosphere can easily make it seem as if you have just arrived at a private little, tucked-away island 🤍🌴🐚

Once a bohemian hot spot, the beach was little-known and rarely visited. Travellers heard about it from word of mouth and locals used to go there to get lost in the quiet embrace of Brazil's quiet places and away from the busyness of the city. Nowadays this is not so much the case.

We travelled to Jericoacoara, one of Brazil's most picturesque beaches, to learn how it went from a bohemian tucked-away gem to every traveller's dream destination.

"My advice to others, especially women, who are considering going into piloting is to not let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Piloting is a male-dominated field, which is only changing slowly. If you are passionate about flying, then pursue it with everything you have."

"Many people still believe that with a glider you mainly stay near the airfield. But the opposite is the case, glider pilots can stay up to more than 10hours and over 1000km in one flight. I have been fortunate enough to fly over many incredible places, but some of my favorite flights include the Alps with a lowpass over the highest mountain of Europe: the Mont Blanc. The Spanish Guaderrama, and the South African ridges and desert and even Israel."

As a glider pilot, Julia has flown over many picturesque places that can often look otherworldly 🛩️📸☀️🗻🫶🏼☁️

She documents her adventures online on her Instagram page as a travel diary where she shares her experiences and incredible aerial photography.
