Season 2 has finally dropped!! What do you think happened to JonBenet Ramsey?

215 Indigenous American CHILDREN were murdered at a Canadian "re-education" school. There are estimates that over 4,000 children were murdered throughout Canada at these types of "schools". Educate yourself, direct your anger, and advocate for acknowledgement, change, and recompense.
There are still thousands of missing and murdered Indigenous women, men, and children throughout Canada and the United States who deserve justice. Do not let your anger for these 215 murdered children fizzle out, there is work to be done, and this is not a moment but a continued movement to demand the righting of wrongs from hundreds of years of systemic violence, injustice, and abuse against Indigenous people.

Hey, Sleuths! I'm so sorry about the unexpected hiatus (not long after the other unexpected hiatus ๐
) school is just kicking my ass.
If you don't know yet, I'm a third year polisci undergrad student with a full time internship and on campus job, I'm a campaign coordinator for New Voters Project, and have been struggling with a writing portfolio that decides whether or not I graduate on time at this point.
As much as I love all of you and CCS, school has to come first. So, season one of Cold Case Study has come to an end and will pick up again in May. HOWEVER!! I will be restarting my missing posters and other interactive posts ๐
Much love,
Morgan and Houdini ๐
100 listens/downloads for Episode 1: The Boy In The Box!!!! ๐๐๐ Thank you guys so much for sticking with me and enjoying my show ๐
VOTE FOR YOUR FAVE
I've been thinking about changing the logo and these (unlike the current ๐
) are made with art that requires no attribution for commercial use, so I could, I'm good conscious use them for merchandise.
Option 1) A Nancy Drew type figure with rounded, red script reading Cold Case Study
Option 2) A stack of books in greyscale, Cold Case is in white print and below is Study in red cursive
I'm leaning heavily towards option 1 but I want to know what y'all think ๐
(Tagged People: Your opinions are very important to me and I didn't want to miss out on them due to the algorithm)
EPISODE 18 IS OUT NOW!!!
John Bianchi's death has been unsolved for over 100 years, can you help solve it?
We know what we're talking about because we wrote the script, did the research, and fell in love with the case. Our audience might be hearing about the case for the first time, so make sure you give the background information and explain fully before moving on.
Episode 17: The Black Dahlia is out now!!!!!
Elizabeth Short is more famous now than she could have dreamed but for all the wrong reasons. Her brutal murder has been immortalized on the silver screen, television, and in books.
There have been hundreds of confessions and dozens of suspects but don't be fooled: the case is far from solved.
So, grab your sleuth book and top off your coffee because today we're diving straight in and I've only got one question for you: Can you help solve this cold case?

If you're not interested while you're interviewing, your audience won't be interested while listening. Try changing up your speech pattern, show excitement, show shock, be empathetic. We have to remember that our audience can't see us, so our voices have to do 2x the work.
Hey Sleuths! Massive technical difficulties (aka my entire episode disappearing) means there is going to be no new episode today ๐ญ BUT I have an assignment for my podcasting class due next week, which means you'll get TWO EPISODES ๐
Forgive me?
100 listens/downloads on Episode 8: Natalee Holloway. Her killer is still roaming free but her case is still in the hearts and minds of those she left behind.
Thank you so much to everyone who listened to her case, I appreciate it and I'm sure her family does as well.
Keep it sleuthy,
Morgan ๐
Episode 16: The Axeman of New Orleans is out now ๐
Demented jazz. Lover or demon killer? It's all up for debate when it comes to the string of brutal attacks and murders in New Orleans from 1918-1919. Grab your sleuth book and top off your coffee with a little whiskey, today's case is horrifying.
๐๐๐๐๐ Or just drop a case in the comments ๐
More tips and tricks from Professor J.J ๐ You might not always agree with who you're interviewing but remember to listen carefully, ask questions, and be respectful.
What makes you happy while you're researching all the horrible things people have done?
I am by NO means an expert but since I'm taking a class on podcasting, I figured I'd post what tips stick out as important.
First day of my class on podcasting, my professor listened to and thought it was "pretty good" but now my whole class knows I have a podcast. Is this a positive? Is this a negative? We shall see.
(no one else already has a show going in so it's a ๐
moment)
Hey, Sleuths! It is move-in weekend for college so I won't be posting an episode today. I am SO sorry for the late notice but I pinky swear I'll have one next week.
My school has a cool thing where January is a separate term from Spring Term and so all of January I will be taking "The Art of Podcasting" so I'll let you know how that goes!!

I promise I'm not dead and I promise there is a new episode in the works. I've just been so bogged down with school work that I haven't been able to solely focus on CCS.
