‪Nuclear Games: North Korea fired missiles towards the Japanese island in a test in March of this year - in the very days when the torch relay for the Olympic Games began.‬
‪North Korea is not participating in the Tokyo Olympics. Officially because of concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.‬

Very symbolic: the torch relay for these Olympic Games started in Fukushima Prefecture. The Japanese government calls these games "Games of Reconstruction".

Olympics of recovery? Of all places, the Olympic Games will be held in the upcoming days in the province of Fukushima.
A province where whole areas are still uninhabitable after the nuclear disaster.
The message of the Japanese government to the world is supposed to be: Everything is under control.
