Mayor Juris Sucro welcomed the representative of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on its inititative for the 2024 monitoring of the identified child at risk in the municipality.

Bagong Kalibo, being recognized as a Child-Friendly Community, supports the programs of DOLE in eliminating and preventing child labor in the Philippines.

1. The Battle of the Bands is open to all Amateur Bands only.
2. Genre of the songs could be Slow Rock, Alternative, Punk, etc. Songs with Scream are not allowed.
3. Bands must be of Three (3) to Seven (7) Bands Members.
4. Bands are to play Three (3) Songs during their performance.
5. Bands shall be given 15 Minutes on Stage.
6. Any Band Members who climbs on the PA, damages Equipments, or leave the Stage during their Performance will be immediately disqualify and will be responsible for any damages.
7. Bands shall be responsible for their equipments and belongings.

YELLOW Alert: Aklan Local Flood Early Warning System

Due to the continuous rain, there is a significant rise in the water level of the Aklan River. In response to this emergency situation, please be informed of the following:

1. Class Suspensions: All classes and academic activities from Pre-School to College levels in the Municipality of Kalibo are suspended today (November 20, 2023)
2. Barangay Actions:
• All Barangays near the Aklan River are directed to activate their Barangay Disaster Operations Centers.
• Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATS) and Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (DRRMO) must be on standby to monitor the situation closely.
3. Community Advisory:
• Residents are advised to stay updated on the latest weather reports and emergency instructions.
• Please avoid areas near the Aklan River and take necessary precautions to ensure your safety.

We urge everyone to prioritize safety and adhere to all precautionary measures.
