A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect until 8:00 pm for the counties shaded in pink. Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado or two are possible this afternoon to evening. Storms should clear the Tri Cities in the next couple of hours.

11:45 AM: The cold front is progressing quickly, so development should occur between 12:00 and 2:00 AM this afternoon. A few storms containing large hail and damaging winds are possible. The tornado threat is low, but not zero. Live coverage may be necessary be 2:00 PM or so.
