appreciation post. One of the most unconventional thinkers of the security realm that I've had to privilege to have learned from. He can show you a few things.

He is a former Cuban military now active security specialist based out of Mexico. He came up in the Soviet block era so his world view, tactics and just general knowledge is pretty amazing. I've gained many insights in to criminal trends and regional security issues during our interactions.

The katana has been the weapon of the samurai since time immemorial. Consider the inner meaning.

Our blade is honed only on a single edge. Why? It is because with the dull edge against our flesh, the katana becomes our shield. This cannot happen with a two-edged sword, One day, in the midst of a melee, you may owe your life to the dull edge rather than the sharp one. Let this contrast remind you that attack and defense are one.

Dreams
