Let me tell you a short story about my Crocs 🤭🤭

I always had a certain dislike for Crocs, largely due to the fact that it was terribly abused in my school and people called it canoe shoe😂😂

You don see person with long foot inside Crocs?😂😂

I can place a bet that 80% of my classmates had this canoe shoe and they wore it almost every day😂

I remember one time during exams when one overdo invigilator said, everyone wearing Crocs wouldn't be allowed to write the exams (because they weren't considered proper shoes) and almost half of the class were outside!!!🫣🫣

The man gave up sharp sharp😂😂

There was this particular guy that was toasting me at the bank one time, I looked down and I saw this popular canoe shoe and his steeze reduced immediately 😂😂

I swore that I wouldn't bow to peer pressure and I didn't. Until...

I almost fell from a bike last week and I grazed my toes😩😩

In the heat of the moment, someone passed and he was wearing the almighty canoe shoe...

Yes. What you're thinking is exactly what came to my mind💯💯💯

IF I WAS WEARING CROCS, I WOULDN'T HAVE GRAZED MY TOES‼️‼️‼️

How come nobody told me this? 🤔🤔

Everything I've heard about Crocs was the beauty, the softness, the comfort and all those things...

Nobody ever told me it protects your toes ‼️‼️

Let's look at a few reasons why a lot of people show interest in your business but end up not patronizing you.

Some may outrightly tell you that they are scared while others may just ghost you and act as if the inquiry never happened.

1. Previous Negative Experience

Many of us have had at least one experience of "what I ordered vs what I got" which has made everyone skeptical when it comes to buying things online.

Although, this is not your fault, it is your duty to make your prospects feel comfortable buying from you.

2.Lack of Social Proof.

If a business lacks positive testimonials, reviews, or social media presence, customers may question its legitimacy.

People are easily convinced when there are reviews and testimonials about what they want to buy.

Some times, the reviews help them make a buying decision before they even contact you.

3. Poor Customer Service.

Unresponsive or unsatisfactory customer service experiences can push customers away.

Everyone likes to be treated like a king, especially when they are giving you their money.

If they don't get the desired response or treatment, they would definitely be skeptical about buying from you.

I was scrolling on Twitter yesterday, when I saw the first conversation between a vendor and prospective buyer.

I went through the comments and different people had different opinions.

While some said the customer is well within her rights to have fears about what she wants to purchase...

Others said that's how many customers do, they stress vendors and end up not buying.

That same yesterday, I was on Facebook and I saw a similar scenario.

This time it was the vendor who posted it and as usual everyone had different opinions.

Now, who do you think is at fault?

Nkechi is the "CEO" of Happy collections, a lingerie brand.

She prides herself in having the most beautiful and most comfortable lingerie designs in the city, which is true.

She also has excellent customer service which her friends and family who has patronised her praises her for.

However, they seem to be weary of her of late which is unusual.

Nkechi is wondering why her family and friends no longer patronize her.

She spent her last savings and profit from her business to stock up on more goods and now she no longer makes sales.

Why are her friends and aunties not buying from her again?

Are friends and family not meant to support their own?

Don't restrict your business to the limited number of sales from your friends and family.

There are millions of people looking for what you sell. Go find them!

With that said, don't overrule your friends and family in your business.

As much as they are family and friends, they are also your customers.

They are not just the ultimate customers you need for your business to grow.
