Why you should take something she said with a grain of salt. Also, Floyd Mayweather and 50 are throwing jabs at each other.. AGAIN. Do either of them have friends? Because,“ With friends like that, who needs enemies?” Demi Lovato’s “Friends” encouraged her to continue using drugs despite knowing her history with addiction. Parties and drugs are big in Hollywood, so is it possible to stay sober when you’re surrounded by other addicts and casual drug users? Also, Aubrey and the 3 Amigos Tour was pushed back and we have some thoughts about why this happened- Because allegedly it had nothing to do with Offset getting arrested about a week ago. Lastly, people are upset about Lawrence not being in Season 3 of Insecure because “Sometimes your ex’s just disappear” -Issa Rae. Do you like when TV/Film shows art imitating life? During L.I.T. Lauren gives the Lo Down on the NBA finals and who the most embarrassing team is. Speaking of being embarrassed, why is white guilt a thing? No, you weren't responsible for Slavery, but why are you crying when I’m trying to educate you about current racism? We had another school shooting this week- RIP to all the victims in Santa Fe Texas, but why aren't bullying and school shootings a problem in black communities? Is it because black parents make us tough by talking S**t to us? Or is it because we haven’t addressed the issue that is frail White Male Masculinity? Speaking of sensitive white men- Spike Lee went innnnnnnn on Trump after screening his film BlacKkKlansman at Cannes- We feel you, Spike. J Cole dropped on 420, and Kanye’s dropping his 9th studio album in June along with Drake’s 6th- but since these are male rappers, nobody will create a “beef.” Kendrick didn’t drop a new album, but he did get a Pulitzer for the message he made in DAMN. Cole made a pretty powerful message in KOD too, so we must ask, do Drake albums have a strong message? Kanye’s music is full of statements, but his tweets are also important life lessons. We’re sure Teyana Taylor will show off her “black girl magic” in her new album, but why don’t male rappers show their love for sistas in their music? S/O to Wale . Aprille talks about how slang gets Lost in Translation because it’s hard to translate for a culture you don’t understand. PS- Roasted doesn’t mean an argument; it means you got ROASTED, Fam.
