Want to network and learn from fellow creatives? Our speakers' panel event, Trend: Defining the Art and Fashion of the Time, is happening this Friday (April 9th) at 5 pm! We'll be having representatives from Vogue Magazine, The San Francisco Academy of Art, and WE DA PEPO Artist Collective coming to speak on their careers and recent trends in the creative industry. BARE Spotlight ✨ Introducing Tang, a third year student in BARE majoring in English and minoring in Gender and Women’s Studies!

What drew Tang to pursue photography?
What really got me into photography was during my junior year of high school when I studied Annie Leibovitz for an art project, and I chose to shoot some images inspired by her. It was my first time directing and shooting a whole shoot on my own, and that whole experience made me want to take photography more seriously when I came to college.

How has Tang incorporated this passion into BARE?
BARE has allowed me to consistently work with other creatives with such amazing ideas and visions, which has definitely influenced how I go about approaching my work now and how I'm constantly thinking about how I want to go beyond shooting conventional photographs. I was able to do a FaceTime shoot for BARE's summer special edition last year, and I shot a few photographs for Issue 28 as well!
