PRIESTS, RELIGIOUS, OTHERS KIDNAPPED IN NCHANG REGAIN FREEDOM
They were released this Saturday, October 22, 2022, after they have spent over a month in Amba captivity.
The 5 Priests, a Religious, an Assistant Catechist, a Cook and a young lady were abducted on Friday, September 16, 2022, when gunmen stormed the St. Mary Catholic Parish in Nchang, Manyu division of the South West region of Cameroon; an attack which also witnessed the church building set on fire.
Their release comes few days after a video surfaced online showing the pathetic state they were held by the kidnappers.
It is not yet known whether a ransom was paid for their release.

Brenda paid a visit to Gift's house since on Thursday August 11, at 8:00PM, and when she was about leaving, Gift followed her to see her off and has not yet returned. "We haven't heard from them."

Kenyan runner Abel Mutai was only a few meters from the finish line, but got confused with the signs and stopped, thinking he had finished the race. A Spanish man, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was going on, started shouting to the Kenyan to keep running. Mutai did not know Spanish and did not understand.
Realizing what was going on, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory. A reporter asked Ivan, "Why did you do this?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that one day we can have some sort of community life where we push ourselves and help each other win." The reporter insisted "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his."
The reporter insisted and asked again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him and replied: "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor of this medal? What would my Mother think of it?" The values are transmitted from generation to generation. What values do we teach our children and how much do you inspire others to earn? A lady has been ordered by Kenyan Court to refund transport money to her boyfriend after he sent her Ksh 3,000 (Uganda Sh100k) to pay for a taxi but failed to turn up and switched off her phone.
He took her to the court and presented evidence which includes Mpesa statement and WhatsApp chats, just to prove that he sent her the money.
She was also ordered to pay an additional interest of Sh25k and Sh650k for causing emotional distress.
This should be a lesson for ladies who are fond of duping men.

Buea Diocese Loses Priest To Accident, Another in Critical Condition
Rev Father Didimus Nformi Yombo, former Chancellor in the Diocese of Buea is no more.
He was involved in a fatal road accident around Puma in the Yaounde-Douala highway, around 1:00PM, this Tuesday July 19, 2022.
Reports his car went head on collision with another while he was returning from Yaounde after attending a interview at the US embassy.
Another Priest who was in the car, Rev Fr Chrisantus, is reportedly in a critical condition and has been rushed to a nearby hospital.
Rev Father Didimus was due to go for further studies in the United State after wrapping up his more than one year stay as Chancellor of the Buea Diocese.

A church in South Africa Nazareth Baptist Church has reportedly issued a certificate of virginity to female members after the head pastor had subjected the ladies to test.
The name of the Church as boldly written on the certificate of virginity is Nazareth Baptist Church located at Ebuhleni, northern part of Durban in South Africa.
According to reports, practice was carried out in a bid to promote chastity among the ladies in the society. The free virginity test was carried out on ladies who attend their church and are 18 years and above. Report Says this is an annual certificate issued to Young ladies every year

Singer R. Kelly could face decades in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday, nine months after being found guilty of running a scheme to s*xually abuse women and children.
In September, a New York jury convicted the disgraced pop star of racketeering and eight counts of s*x trafficking.
The 55-year-old R&B singer will spend at least 10 years in prison, with the maximum possible sentence being life.

OBITUARY: THE LATE REVEREND FATHER VITUS BOROGO
It is with a heavy heart, but with total submission to the will of God that we announce the death of Rev. Fr. Vitus Borogo, which sad event took place today, at Prison Farm, Kujama, along Kaduna-Kachia Road, after a raid on the farm by Terrorists. Until his death, Fr Vitus (aged 50) was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community of the Kaduna State Polytechnic, and the Chairman of the Nigerian Catholic Diocesan Priests Association (NCDPA), Kaduna Chapter.
Most Rev. Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, the Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna condoles with the immediate family, the NFCS Family of Kaduna Polytechnic, and indeed the entire Kaduna Polytechnic Community; and assures them of his fraternal closeness and prayers.
Details of his Funeral arrangement will be announced as soon possible. Meanwhile we commit his soul to the maternal intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and call on all men and women of goodwill to continue to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and for the consolation of his bereaved family, especially his mother.

The husband of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, Peter, arrived the Federal Capital Territory Abuja High Court around 9:20 AM local time for trial.
He is faced with 23 count charge of domestic violence and homicide but has pleaded not guilty.
Family members of Osinachi also showed up at the court for the hearing
Before today trial, judge Justice N.K. Nwosu-Iheme fixed 16 and 17 of June 2022 for accelerated hearing on top of the charges but didn't showed up last week and it was later adjourn to 20 and 21 of June, 2022.

Meet - Captain Irene Koki Mutungi, Africa's first female Boeing 787 Dreamliner Captain. She is Kenya Airways' first female Pilot and Captain, she commanded first father/daughter flight and first all female flight crew in Africa.
Her father was a Pilot at Kenya Airways, flying with him from a very young age ignited her passion to became a Pilot and she never looked back.
At age 17, she attended flight school at Nairobi's Wilson Airport, where she obtained her Private Pilot's License. She went to obtain her Commercial Pilot's License from the Federal Aviation Administration, USA.
After obtaining her Commercial Pilot's License, Captain Irene Koki Mutungi returned to Kenya and was hired by Kenya Airways, as their first female Pilot and she has been with the airline for more than 2 decades.
She is currently commanding a Boeing 787 Dreamliner at Kenya Airways.
"My first flight was just few days before I turned 18 and it was the most amazing experience. My most memorable flight was the one I got to do with my father, it was his last flight in the airline, he chose to retire early and wind up his career with a flight he did with me and that was very memorable," said Captain Irene Koki Mutungi.
