For years, I knew something wasn’t quite right with my body. I felt off, drained, and honestly, I didn’t even know where to begin. There was this constant feeling that something was wrong, but I was so exhausted with everything physical that I had no idea what steps to take. I spent so much time feeling different without even knowing why.

What made it worse was how I was made to feel like it was all my fault—like if I just had more self-control, more discipline, then things would be different. I was told I was just overindulgent, that my body’s struggles were because of bad habits or lack of willpower. But deep down, I knew there was more to it. When I was finally diagnosed with , it brought clarity, but it also showed me that my body wasn’t the enemy—it was just trying to cope with the cards it had been dealt.

Heres someone I’ve learned that helped me shift my focus from just weight loss to truly taking care of myself .

My body is not the problem—it’s the messenger.
once I understood that my hormones were out of balance, I realized my body was just trying to tell me something. It’s not about forcing myself to look a certain way but learning how to support my body in finding balance. Self-compassion became a game-changer for me.

As A Plus Size Girlie Living with PCOS means facing battles every day—battles that aren’t always visible. It’s been so hard not getting instant results, even when I’m doing all the “right” things. Changing my habits, showing up for myself, putting in the effort day after day—only to feel like nothing is happening… at least, not fast enough.

There are times when I’ve felt like giving up, especially when people around me question my journey. The comments, the doubts—they cut deep. People looking at me, telling me I must not be doing what I say I’m doing. They don’t understand that PCOS doesn’t play by the rules. You can put in all the work and still not see the physical changes right away. And it’s hard. Really, really hard.

But here’s the shift that happened for me. I stopped looking for the results. I stopped obsessing over whether I was “there” yet. And you know what changed? My mindset shifted. I started focusing on the fact that I’m doing what’s right for me, even if it doesn’t always show on the outside. The little victories became enough—getting through a workout, eating better, taking care of my mental health. The truth is, no one else can define my progress but me.

Finally, I’m seeing the difference. Not because of a number on a scale or someone’s approval, but because I know deep down that I’m fighting for myself every single day. And that’s what matters most. 💪🏽

Change feels good.*

Lately I felt stuck, like I wasn’t making any moves. I felt like I hadn’t made any progress, and everything around me felt stagnant.
Then, out of nowhere, a friend sent me some photos from just 6 months ago... and WOW, I look SO different! 60 I didn’t even realize how much l’d changed until I saw it for myself.
It’s crazy how sometimes we need someone to hold up a mirror to show us how amazing we’re doing. We can get so caught up in feeling like we’re not where we want to be that we forget to acknowledge how far we’ve come.
Let this post be that mirror for YOU. No matter where you are on your journey, remember that you are living, growing, and evolving-every single day. Progress isn’t about perfection.
