For years, I knew something wasn’t quite right with my body. I felt off, drained, and honestly, I didn’t even know where to begin. There was this constant feeling that something was wrong, but I was so exhausted with everything physical that I had no idea what steps to take. I spent so much time feeling different without even knowing why.
What made it worse was how I was made to feel like it was all my fault—like if I just had more self-control, more discipline, then things would be different. I was told I was just overindulgent, that my body’s struggles were because of bad habits or lack of willpower. But deep down, I knew there was more to it. When I was finally diagnosed with , it brought clarity, but it also showed me that my body wasn’t the enemy—it was just trying to cope with the cards it had been dealt.
Heres someone I’ve learned that helped me shift my focus from just weight loss to truly taking care of myself .

once I understood that my hormones were out of balance, I realized my body was just trying to tell me something. It’s not about forcing myself to look a certain way but learning how to support my body in finding balance. Self-compassion became a game-changer for me.
