Tabby has just joined the Neighbour team as an intern. She is a student from Miami University with a focus on graphic design and digital marketing. She made the decision to come to Luxembourg after discovering the many things the country has to offer through studying abroad, and she hopes to contribute to the conversation about how to live more sustainably during her time here.

The second edition of the Local Entrepreneurs Forum took place on July 7th as part of 🌟

This powerful event, organised by Co-Créateurs asbl, aims to support social and sustainable entrepreneurs and generate community backing for their projects. Inspired by the Community of Dragons event pioneered by the REconomy Centre Totnes, the forum follows a unique format, where entrepreneurs pitch their projects, engage in Q&A sessions, and then receive pledges of support from the audience.

Spring is a time for new life, including newborn fawns in the grassy prairies that surround their forest homes. 🦌

Sadly, this also coincides with the hay harvest, which puts the fawns in danger as they can be fatally mowed down by tractors.

To combat this issue, volunteers from Sauvons Bambi Luxembourg use heat-sensing drones to scan fields before a harvest and then move the animals to safety. They are now launching a pilot project in partnership with local communes called Sauvons Bambi. 🌱

Le printemps est synonyme de vie nouvelle, notamment pour les faons qui viennent de naître dans les prairies herbeuses qui entourent leur maison forestière. 🦌

Malheureusement, cette période coïncide également avec la récolte du foin, ce qui met les faons en danger, car ils peuvent être fauchés mortellement par les tracteurs.

Pour lutter contre ce problème, des bénévoles de Sauvons Bambi Luxembourg utilisent des drones détecteurs de chaleur pour scanner les champs avant la récolte et puis ils mettent les animaux en sécurité. Ils lancent actuellement un projet pilote en partenariat avec des communes locales, appelé Sauvons Bambi. 🌱
