Ballymaloe Foods , pasta sauce ,which I picked up in Dunnes Stores Dungarvan, is a game changer for vegans. I made Spaghetti Bolognese this evening and I used Quorn, Kelkin spaghetti, (rice substitute) and Ballymaloe pasta sauce. To add sweetness without adding sugar, I added apple and raspberries. If I want a bit of a kick to it, I'll add a little bit of Chipotle as well. It was absolutely delicious and took a little less than 20 mins.
Quorn is a great meat substitute whether for health, or lifestyle choice

I bought the most beautiful mid century modern table today from Trash to Treasure Project Waterford . I was tempted to change my chairs but when I saw how well they worked together, I definitely had to keep them. I have been in search of a mid century modern table that would work with these beautiful farstrup Danish mid century chairs for a long time and now I think they work really well together as a set.

Two of the Trash to Treasure team came to my home today to help with a clear out and to bring me my fabulous table.
They are such a lovely professional friendly team; Stacey was super helpful and friendly showing me the table yesterday and today Cora and Stephen were so lovely to deal with

Such a brilliant business with prices to suit everyone and services available like Gardening, Home Removals, Home Clear Out etc. They have a shop also with a range of homeware, furniture, clothing etc. A visit here is well worth it!

What a fab snack and bonus is it's healthy. From Irish company The Lismore Food Company , available throughout Waterford and possibly nationwide. These are a game changer for Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Vegan.

Birthday dinner for my husband at The Moorings, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. Darren the Maitre'd looked after our party so well. Items on the menu were tweaked to ensure I had lots of Vegan and gluten free options. Pinot Grigio here is lovely, definitely one to try if you're coming for lunch or dinner.
Food and service is top quality here. Lovely atmosphere and excellent customer service.

It was my lucky day today when I introduced my daughter to AVO CAFE and all the cake slices of every variety were €3!!!
We partook in a slice of blueberry cheesecake and banoffee pie. My teen had a hot chocolate and it got a thumbs up

I highly recommend Dashing Hounds , Dungarvan. Jason is so good with dogs, so patient and caring. He is a whizz with his grooming, like the Vidal Sassoon of the dog world
This is my Benji before and afterward. He can be quite a shy dog when he doesn't know the person but Jason put him at ease straight away and he was good as gold, apart from his excitement which meant he was constantly moving. Ever the professional, Jason did an amazing job and the proof is in the pictures

I had a medical appointment yesterday so to cheer myself up I took a trip to AVO CAFE in Waterford. Vegans of the South East unite, we have found our Mother Ship!
It is so refreshing to walk into a cafe and not have to say "Is this gluten free, do you offer vegan options "
The food here is fantastic, made in the cafe.
I had a Red Velvet cake slice, a very generous portion size and an almond decaf latte. My husband had an oat milk strawberry smoothie and a peanut cheesecake. He is not limited to gluten free foods or a vegan but he really liked the cake and loved the smoothie.
On my next trip I'm going to sample their crepes, from what I'm hearing they are amazingly delicious
This is well worth a visit if you are vegan and or gluten free by health or by choice.
All the items came to €18 which is standard for deserts and coffee, smoothies anywhere else

Review of McSweeney Arms Hotel
Nice spacious room
Friendly receptionist
Close to parking
Central to town

A few items of consideration
Room was old fashioned; no tea and coffee making facilities or seperate shower. The style of shower over the bath could be a little difficult to use , to keep your balance and could be dangerous for some people
Heating was intermittent so it was quite cold at intervals
Pillows and mattress were too hard, I didn't sleep well at all
Hard to contact, no answer when phone rang prior to visit, to answer questions . I did reach out to message but I like to speak to people in person to ensure everything is agreed prior.
I didn't want to say anything as I avoid confrontation but on reflection it's important to be honest for future travellers

Given the hotel pricing structure in Killarney the price here at Christmas is €205 for two people, this is at the low end of the pricing scale , though high for one night, is fitting for a three star at Christmas

Lovely boutique hotel but could consider areas to upgrade to ensure customer's needs can be met and people with additional needs can be catered to

They are an Irish company based in Westmeath and they have an online store as well
They have price points to suit every budget and currently have a sale online. They sell jewellery, scarves, silk eye masks and scrunchies, decorative bowls and women's wear (tops)
Their customer service is outstanding. All of my communication with them has been personable and friendly.

Highly recommend a visit to Café Du Parc , Killarney. Everything I wanted to eat was tweaked to be dairy free and gluten free. A desert was created specifically for me in the kitchen to ensure my intolerance needs were met; a trio of sorbets with fresh fruit and coulis
The staff here were engaging, knowledgeable, professional and very friendly.
Prices are mid range but the quality of the food is top of the range.
Definitely recommend the Pinot Grigio here as well, such a generous glass
Location is central to town and you are five mins from all amenities

Quick visit to Teach Ormond, the Ormond Cafe, this morning. Lovely layout, nicely furnished, good oat latee. However for people with food intolerance, there are not many options for them here.
Given the population of Dungarvan and the surrounds more focus needs to be brought in catering to Coeliac, Gluten Free, Lactose free and Vegan
