Attention Dental Community! The recent tragedy in El Cajon, where a dentist was shot to death, highlights the importance of a workplace violence prevention plan. Federal OSHA requires employers to protect employees from recognized hazards including the 4 types of workplace violence .

California recently passed legislation that mandates employers to create site-specific Workplace Violence Prevention Plans and provide training for their teams by July 1, 2024.
