I was thinking that we could do a Live Reading of some of the brilliant poets we have grown up reading or have read in our later years and fallen in love with their poetry. Pablo Neruda is one such poet, I feel, to begin with. We can pay our tribute to such great poets this way through this initiative. Would you be interested in being part of this new venture?
If yes, then please drop your name in the comment segment below and we can decide on a date to do the first Live Reading through our YouTube Channel this month itself.
This is for the sheer love of poetry and literature. Join me if you feel the same passion for poetry.

From our Book Giveaway Winner Padmapriya Suresh's wall.

Thank you Monalisa Joshi for gifting me these wonderful books. I am more excited holding "Letters to the Flautist" in hand. There's a specific reason to this!

When I discovered Chrysanthemum Chronicles , the editing of "Letters to the Flautist" book was in progress. When I learnt more about this anthology, I felt worried that I couldn't pen my poem about my dear Lord Krishna.. I felt happy that many of my known poet friends have penned in this anthology and I wanted to read their thoughts and tributes to Lord Krishna. Nextly, I was greatly attracted by the book cover. I somehow wanted this book... but only as a gift. I enjoy winning book give aways!

More than me, my daughter felt happy after opening the parcel! Infact, she screamed in happiness. Thank you once again. Equally excited to read "Macabre Tales" too! ❤️❤️

"If you dream a thing more than once, it's sure to come true", Sleeping Beauty
We all have grown up reading and listening to Fairy Tales, and oh boy! what an impact it had made in those days. It still refuses to go away from our hearts. Wouldn't you agree?
I wanted to do something in collab with you all so that these fairy tales come alive once more but with a twist here and there. Let the core story remain the same, but bring a different climax or ending. Use some 'What if's' not literally I mean, rather in a figurative manner.
Choose any fairy tale of your choice, twist the story a bit, mold it according to your desire, but let the characters remain the same, and write a fantasy poem based on that. Write a humorous, satirical, or any genre that you feel you will be able to be playful with and post your poem in not more than 40-50 lines long, in the comment segment below.
Few simple rules to follow:

Only one poem per household.
Use any backdrop, modern, classic, or even something imaginative.
The last date to submit is 30th August 2024.
Results will take a little time, but we will try best to produce them within a week.
There will be a judge for this event, who is going to announce the three top winners' names and the three winners will get our most-sold book 'When Goddesses Walked the Earth'
Best Wishes to all!

From the wall of Lo**ta Bhattacharya, one of the winners of Death Poetry Prompt.

I wrote a poem on the prompt - A conversation with Death.Thank you Monalisa Joshi for this wonderful spooky prize.
Posting the poem:

Life’s Fragile Cocktail

A chill creeps in, a shiver down my spine
Is this death's touch, a fading, cruel design?
A silent nod, a whisper, "Judgment's nigh,
Embrace your past, let go of every sigh."

Jolted awake, a question burns so bright,
"Why fate's cruel hand, at the cusp of life's pure light?"
Straight and strong, with dreams yet to unfurl,
Why steal this breath, from this vibrant world?

He smiles, a glint, "A pact with every soul,
A secret kept, untold, to make us whole.
No mortal hand can hold the fleeting thread,
Live, love, and let your spirit bravely spread."

Life's cocktail, bittersweet, a fleeting show,
But what of that long night, where dreams have nowhere to go?

"Beyond," he says, "a vibrant, endless view,
Not darkness, but a tapestry anew.
I am change, a journey, never truly done,
Weaving nature's thread, beneath the setting sun."

Fear grips my heart, "Alone in the unknown?"
He answers softly, a place where seeds are sown.

No map exists, no compass guides the way,
Only the universe whispers, "Come what may."
Peace, not darkness, awaits on that soft shore,
Where burdens fade and worries are no more.

"Loved ones there?" I whisper, a hesitant plea.
"Love's echo lives," he soothes, "eternally.
Bonds transcend the final, silent chime,
A flowing river of memories, woven through time.
I ferry souls across the gentle tide,
Where burdens drift away, on starlight they confide.
The spark rejoins the cosmic, vibrant flow,
The spirit soars, in an eternal glow.”

Life, a fleeting gift, death's hand outstretched to take,
How to conquer fear, for my spirit's sake?

"Surrender, child," he whispers, kind and strong,
"I am the bridge, where darkness turns to song.
Life and death, a dance that never ends,
The body fades, the soul forever transcends."

Thunder rolls and rumbles, the world watches in awe,
The cosmic dancer strides across the ground that shakes,
Burning eyes crimson in ire, the anguish raw
Humanity trembles with every firm step He takes.
Around His head, a swirling sea of flame
The Destroyer starts His awe-inspiring dance.
His ravaged mind a whirlpool of turbulence and blame,
As drumbeats reverberate, He takes His stance.
Head held high, the river Ganges a-flow,

When Krishna left Vrindavan to fulfill his greater calling, Radha was grief stricken and spent days pining for her love. She wrote pages of fervent proclamations of devotion and love. These were epistles that were never sent.
This was the theme of this Anthology titled
Letters To A Flautist

This is my contribution. Thank you Monalisa Joshi for accepting my poem in this beautiful book.

Oh my Vasudeva

The fluffy clouds flounder darkly
The undirected cows plod on dusty paths.
I see you in the twilight shadows
Herding them to their pint pounds.

The amber sun, worn and weary
Limps into dusk with a dazzling halo
Borrowed from you.
Isn’t it the same sun that
Blazes in your lands too?

The benign, baffled breeze
Browses my face softly with a
Whirling whisper.
I pirouette on it awhile
Hoping to decipher the
Figments and the fancies.

As I sing along.
I hear you in the village lights,
The morning chants,
The cackling children
The chatty, chirping sparrows.
I see you in the bright, berry blossoms.
I feel your breath on the moonlight,
I can touch you, almost,
In the summer squalls.

In the summer
I hear you in the dense deodars,
The scented sandalwood,
The breathless bamboos and
The craving Kadamba.
The river, where we sat, lies flooded
With dainty daisies and
Babies' breath blooms.
I hear your naughty notes divine and the loving
Murmurs and mumbles.

In the winter
I am hugged by your warm embrace
From the wood fires, and
The glow that casts long shadows
Of you,
Engulfs me in a close embrace.

When the rains run in rivulets,
I revel in my love,
As the raindrops satiate me,
With the musical notes that you sent for me.
I delight in the magnificent rainbow that
You painted only
For me.

They who pity me for your
Absence, know not
That I am complete just
In my love for you.

Death sounds sad, a strange feeling of remorse, something people usually don’t talk about! What if you enter into the world of fantasy where Death is a friend and a living creature and you can have a last conversation with him/her what will you say to him/her? What are the worries that you have in your mind and would like to share it with Death as if you were talking to a friend! Your last wish, any unfulfilled desire, or anything that this particular theme brings to your mind apart from sadness and melancholy.
Basically, I want to see your idea around Death. What are you waiting for, put on your thinking caps and write down a poem depicting your candid or imaginative emotions towards the prompt, ‘The Last Conversation With Death’.
Few Simple Rules:
1. Post only one poem of 50 to 60 lines in the comment segment below
2. The last date to post your poem is 12th July 2024.
3. There will be three top winners who will get the most coveted Graphic Horror Novel From our Publishing House, ‘The Abandoned House Horror’.
4. E-certificates to all the participants will be given and all the poets get a chance to perform Live, the reading of their poems through a Virtual Event.
5. Poems can be humorous, serious, or candid but the fantasy element should be there.
6. Use a different title for your poem and not the theme as the title, please!
Looking forward to reading some interesting poetic pieces!
Best Wishes all…

Manmohana playing the mellifluous symphony,
Intoxicating the unabated cosmos,
To win every predicament and every vulnerable core,
The enchantment of his flute plays mighter than sword.
His impish ways were in disguise to prioritise feminine eminence,
Radharani knew his clandestine intents,
Even when they suffered prolong severance.

The lovelorn Radharani perfectly epitomizes the intense agony of a woman when she suffers isolation from her soulmate. Such was my savvy when I engaged myself to frame the romantic epistle for Krishna Anthology. All the while I placed myself in Radharani's fettle to internalise her profound despair for Kanha and thus took the shape of my opus, titled... Kanha in Radha's Meditation. To make me experience this ethereal flow I sincerely owe to Monalisa Joshi Mam, for this anthology is another outcome of her lofty conceptualization. Monalisa Joshi Mam is the founder and director of Chrysanthemum Chronicles. This poem helped my credence to attain the ardent revelation to render my poem a physical culmination. I can't thank her enough to make me an integral part of this anthology. This space has a cluster of sagacious writers who have followed their heart's lines to structure their expressions for the supreme Lord. I consider myself to be fortunate to have contributed to the essence of this amaranthine confluence.

For the Kitchen theme Poems, I will disclose the selected writers' names tomorrow. Since we have received a smaller number of submissions for this Anthology, I was in discussion with my board that with a few poems how to create a Paperback, so after some speculation this new idea came to our minds, that we will design this book as a Pocket-sized book of poems with illustrations and a different art style for typesetting.
Revealing the cover page of our first Pocket Size Book of Poems, I will be soon beginning the process of designing and editing it.
I wish to thank the writers who have submitted and I really couldn't disappoint you by aborting this project due to less submissions, so just shared my take on how we will proceed further in this direction.
