بنگلہ دیش: کشتی میں آگ بھڑک اٹھی ، 32 افراد جاں بحق درجنوں زخمی
جنوبی بنگلہ دیش میں دریا عبور کرنے کے لئے استعمال ہونے والی کشتی میں آگ لگنے سے کم از کم 32 افراد اپنی جانیں گنوا بیٹھے۔
دارالحکومت ڈھاکا سے تقریبا 250 کلومیٹر دور جھالوکھتی نامی دیہات میں پیش آنے والے واقعے کی تفصیلات دیتے ہوئے مقامی پولیس نے بتایا کہ کشتی میں 500 کے قریب افراد سوار تھے ۔
پولیس افسر معین الاسلام نے عالمی خبر رساں ایجنسی اے ایف پی کو بتایا کہ " تین منزلہ کشتی اوبھیجان 10 دریا کے درمیان پہنچی تو اس میں آگ لگ گئی۔ ہم نے اب تک 32 افراد کی لاشیں پانی سے نکال لی ہیں۔ ان ہلاکتوں میں اضافے کا خدشہ ہے۔اکثر افراد کی موت آگ میں جھلسنے جبکہ کچھ پانی میں ڈوبنے سے ہلاک ہوئے۔"
پولیس اہلکار کے مطابق ڈھاکا سے گھروں کو واپس جانے والے افراد کی کشتی میں آگ انجن روم سے لگی جو کہ دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے پوری کشتی میں پھیل گئی۔
پولیس کے مطابق تقریبا 100 افراد کو مقامی اسپتالوں میں آگ کے زخموں کے علاج کے لئے بھیج دیا گیا ہے۔
بنگلہ دیش کے ماہرین کے مطابق ایسے حادثات کی ذمہ داری عموما ناقص دیکھ بھال، شپ یارڈز پر حفاظتی معیار کی کمی اور لوگوں سے کھچا کھچ بھری ہوئی کشتیوں پر عائد ہوتی ہے

Bandipora, Dec 01 (KNO): At least 10 houses were gutted in a massive fire in Tatri-Kilshay village of Tulail in Gurez area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district late last night, officials said on Wednesday.
The officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that at least 10 residential houses were completely gutted in the fire that broke out on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday in the village.
Several families were rendered homeless, losing all their belongings in the blaze they said.
They said that the fire erupted from one of the residential houses in the village and engulfed the surrounding houses within no time. “The cause of the fire is yet to be known. There was however, no loss of human life reported in the incident while the actual assessment will be made later in the day,” the official said.
Meanwhile, a police official said that they have taken cognizance of the matter and has started investigation to ascertain the actual cause of fire.
The locals meanwhile urged the district administration for immediate compensation and relief to the affected families.

Six including a woman injured in Sumbal explosion

Bandipora, Oct 26, KNT: At least six persons including a woman were injured after an explosion Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Sources said that militants lobbed a grenade towards deployed forces that missed the target and exploded near Sumo Stand.
Police said that they are ascertaining the facts. The wind shields of couple of vehicles were damaged in the explosion while six person sustained splinter injuries. Two among the six injured persons were shifted to Srinagar.
The injured have been identified as Muhammad Altaf of Naninara, Faisal Fayaz of Safapora, Tasleema Bano, Abdul Hamid, Mushtaq Ahmed all residents of Markundal and Fayaz Ahmed of Asham.
The condition of the injured are being stated to be stable. (KNT)
