Amy gave birth to Roman 11/02/21– a beautiful baby boy.

Amy and I felt the calling to share our experience of pregnancy during a pandemic (the good and the challenging).

For the mothers and fathers to be, for the ones who were in it with us, and to the ones who want to be supportive to someone currently pregnant during the second wave of covid with the Delta Variant. This episode is for you.

We were the women who were pregnant during the height of the pandemic in 2020.

We were stripped of our perfect pregnancy dream.

These may be first world problems, but these are our problems with the lifestyle we were born into.

We worked our jobs in constant fear because we didn’t know what would happen if we got covid while being pregnant due to the limited information at the time.

We pondered and constantly changed the plans and preparation of our baby shower.

Our partners sat in a car during our OB check ups and watched ultrasounds via facetime.

We couldn’t attend birthing classes or hospital tours or even shop for maternity clothes.

We hope to shed a light to you with our messy yet beautiful journey of becoming parents and mothers through a pandemic. One of the reasons why we created 2 Millennial Moms is to bring joy into motherhood--specially during a pandemic

Episode 9: Toys that shaped Millennials (and Most likely Gen X)

Today's episode is basically a long Trendy Cindy segment on the toy trend we grew up with in the 90's. We have guest Jenny and Damian to help discuss the toys we played with while growing up as a Millennial. You won’t want to miss the epic discussion of true nostalgia. It’s as if you can smell the play-doh and hear the sound of slammers hitting pogs. You get to hear Reanna's envy of wanting to be in the popular group or the hacky sack circle. Damian shares how he was able to collect his pogs and slammers (hint: a lot of Dorito purchases). Jenny is reminded that Polly Pocket was her first love with interior design.

We all agree on two things: 1) Our toys are the reason we have anxiety today and 2)  Furbies were just a stuffed animal version of a Tamagotchi--and they were terrifying.
