Tori was created during a dark time of Tom's life. A time where his self esteem was at an all time low. He wanted to create someone that he felt was better than him. More outgoing than he. More clever than he. Someone he could be, and could be friends with. He eventually made Tori Jacobs. Everything he wanted to be and everything he looked for in a friend. And he hasn't looked back since.

Before Gaia became a self published comic book on Amazon.com it was just an idea in the mind of its writer, Tom Jobe. Through the help of friends and hard work Tom was able to find freelance artists, colorists, and letterers who were willing to assist him on finishing his superhero project and making Gaia a reality. Never give up on your dreams.

Writer Tom Jobe designed Gaia's costume as something "A teenager could wear on an allowance." Keeping it simple he came up with a bicycle helmet to protect her head, goggles to conceal her face, a green shirt and blue jeans for attire, black elbow pads and red gloves for protection, red running shoes, a red back pack for item storage, and finally a black bulletproof vest because "We all can't be bulletproof."
