Self-awareness is a key ingredient in becoming a successful leader.

John Maxwell, an internationally renowned leadership expert said, “When leaders don’t see themselves clearly, understand their strengths and weaknesses, or recognize their negative interactions with their team, they limit their influence and undermine their own effectiveness.”

As John said in one of his podcasts, a self-aware leader is one who is steadfast, open, and ready to face their own insecurities and shortcomings.

The last characteristic of a self-aware leader must be one of the hardest things to do, not only as a leader but as a human being. It's in our tendency to hide our flaws in order to seem perfect to others. Becoming a good leader necessitates addressing your shortcomings.

How?

As a starting point, identify all of your perceived flaws.

Alternatively, you may ask someone who has worked with you for a long period of time to point out your inadequacies as a leader.

The latter will help you see things you are not able to see yourself.

Effective leadership begins with self-awareness and an awareness of one's talents and weaknesses.

Your willingness to change is the first step to becoming a self-aware leader.

what you plant and allow to grow shapes and molds you
the thought now digs its roots down deep and takes a hold of the garden of you
you are not the seed or even the garden but the conscious gardener that observes this experience
simply free to plant and nurture a beautiful garden

You might have failed big time, made mistakes in the past that still haunt you or is currently in that hopeless case of brokenness- broken self, broken dreams or broken heart.

You are struggling inside. Maybe crying when no one is looking. You might be already tired of hearing painful words from the people around you or even from yourself, in most cases.

Because of those failures.

But I believe that today, God wants to remind you of His beautiful plans for you. And that no matter what you think, no matter what your past is, no matter what other people say, you are not a failure. You are not a mistake. God will never define you by the worst mistake and choice you made in life.

RESTORATION has RESTORE in the word itself, and there is also REST in it. We have to rest in God and believe that He has all the power to bring your broken life back together. He is the God of second chances and more. He is a faithful and loving God who never slumbers and is always ready to help you get back on track.

He came for you to have life and have it in full. Let Him bring back to life all that you think is broken in you. That even if you are thinking that you are like thoses ashes on the ground-lifeless and has no value, stepped by many, useless and ugly,

Fret not.

For out of those ashes, will come beauty again.

Believe and Let Him.
