The first-ever rap song produced was Rapper’s Delight in the summer of 1979. Three Bronx rappers named the Sugar Hill Gang recorded it and it was produced by Sugar Hill Records.
This is Sylvia ROBINSON then, the CEO and founder of Sugar Hill Records AND the Producer of Rapper’s Delight and a little later, The Message by Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five in 1982. It is said that Melle Mel did not want to record the seven-minute rap song that shared brutal honesty of social issues in the city at the time, but she insisted. And she was right. Both rap songs became instant hits that made history by putting rap music, created by the voiceless in the streets of NYC, front and center for the rest of America.
This woman started it all. This woman is responsible for the start of rap.

As it happened today I just happened to land on my mandatory 2 hours every other week of Faux News watching. Have to know what the bad guys are thinking in my opinion.
We are about to see the most RACIST campaign since George Wallace was alive, combined with why ageist crap about why the Democrat party (because we can't call them Democratic) allows a vegetable to stay as President.
Now, of course, tRump has forgotten more names and said more ridiculous s**t than Strom Thurmond at 99 and Chuck Grassley now, but it doesn't matter. This is the same party that says Trump controlled crime when the murder rate was higher than in any year since 1905.

I have friends I respect who are Palestinian who cannot bring themselves to vote for a D after the genocide that has been allowed and I understand that.
BUT for the rest of us? Project 2025 would love to kill my child, reduce my spouse to chattel, prevent abortions even if Daddy r***d you, eliminate birth control, destroy the LBGTQIA+ community, banish Muslims, take the vote away from women, give Europe to Putin and Asia to the Chinese and make Christianity the Sharia law of the land.
