Metropolis Records is proud to announce the signing of Ships In The Night. We were originally drawn to this project due to her ethereal, powerhouse vocals which create a dreamy, otherworldly atmosphere. These dark dreams take us through a world of exploration and growth.

Ships in the Night's first single on Metropolis "Some of Those Dreams" will be released on November 22nd.

Ships In The Night is songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Alethea Leventhal. In her electrifying lullabies, Ships In The Night's uplifting dark pop sound of sweeping waves of synthesizers and kinetic beats draws from echoes of the outer world to paint an atmospheric landscape. While Ships In The Night's first album, "Myriologues," explored the depths of grief and loss, the recent "Latent Powers" album uncovers the cathartic strength that can emerge from within the darkness.

We worked with many photographers over the years, when I say work well it was mostly about p**s taking and having a laugh. Tom is always the best laugh and in the midst of that captured some of the most iconic and enduring images of the band. He’s got an amazing book out which every Cure fan should own and leaf through whilst listening to their favourite Cure record. So many memories and stories…. And the best part of any birthday is Toms Instagram post!! One particular jibe I will never forget is when he asked if my new shirt had been designed by someone at the RNIB!!! Cheeky hahahaha cost me a lot of money that shirt

Congratulations to The Cure for having the number one album in the UK!!! Their first number one in 32 years, outselling the other top five albums out right now combined!

How are you feeling about the new album? Personally, it exceeded my expectations and might end up being my favorite album of the year. The entire album just runs so beautifully together all the way through.
