Presenting Tomás, head of the drama department at Vaporetto films.

Tomás Felício Oliveira is a Portuguese film director and producer, founding member of Vaporetto Films. He is a distant relative to Portuguese director Manoel De Oliveira.
Tomás started his film studies at the age of 15 at the António Arroio Art School in Lisbon. He then moved to London in 2021 to study film at the University of Westminster.
Tomás' films usually touch the subject of loss but present an optimistic view of the world and the future as he believes in a cinema that is emotionally meaningful and truthful but also allows the audience to dream.

Presenting Anouk, head of the comedy department at Vaporetto films.

Anouk Witkowska Hiffler is a French-German filmmaker from Paris. She moved to London in 2020 and is graduating from the University of Westminster Film BA in 2023. She writes, directs and produces comedy, and more specifically absurd and political comedies. Born in a q***r family, she is really interested in POC and womxn-led narratives and characters. She also fights for her film sets to be inclusive and diverse. She is currently in post-production with her short film ‘Drumming’ which she wrote and directed.

Additionally, she really likes cheese.

“It all started on a little vaporetto between the Lido island and mainland Venice. It was late at night and we were returning from a party at the Venice Film Festival. A little bit tipsy and rocked by the movement of the waves, an idea emerged... ‘What if we created a badass production company?!’ - screamed Tomás. ‘Abso-f**king-lutely!’ - replied Anouk with stars in her eyes. And so, a few camparis and discussions later, the adventure started…”
