The runbase aka was like home for me. Around 4x a week i trained their with . There been more than that like breakfasts, talks, laughs & drama. The time per week I spend there been less than a 1/2 working day, but it still meant so much. This hoop haven’t been there. But we still used to have a hoop where we threw some balls, chatted before or after our training with some of the greatest coaches I’ve met. Not from sport science view, but from the human perspective. Without name or gender them I will introduce some to you. There been the drill instructor who managed to kick your ass and tell you what piece of s**t you are. Not direct, but with corrective instructions. Then there been the educating and social coach that you been able to talk to about personal life, but still always so distant that the training still been the main focus. We had the motivator. Creative, always in a good mood, structuring challenging workouts without make you loose the motivation to come back. You could at least do 3 more reps through his character that pushed you even on your worst days. The the functional guy. Always well prepared and with a eye on your moves. It’s been about the posture and technique rather than the load. He helped the crew after injures or spotted weaknesses to build a good base. One of my favorites been a coach who let you feel like playing child’s games for an hour but which turned to some soreness you would never expect. is a longterm project by that don‘t show the most hyped hoops on planet earth, but the mix of ordinary to special places with the intention to communicate that those empty places get life though peoples stories. Emotions & Moments created there like in my teenage years where a hoops been a place to meet.
