I only recently became more open to trusting the divine (whatever/whoever that may be for you), and I find so much comfort in this. I believed that life was one straight line we walk. It can be if you want it to. However, sometimes you’re thrown when suddenly things don’t feel right for you. This is what I experienced before I had my shift. Many tears, many conflicting thoughts, many conversations led me to a place where I started to believe that there is a plan for me. I have to be open to receive the signs, open to change, open to being uncomfortable…open to trust that I’m being led to my best path. I just have to be present, aware and in tune to my inner being in order to take the steps to lead me there. Wherever you are in your journey, have trust 🤍

The fun you can have with flooring!

If you’ve been here for some time you’ll know that this renovation project has taken a LONG time, with a lot of stagnant periods. I’m happy to say that what most of us would call “the fun part” is finally underway. Stay tuned!

I fell off my bedtime routine there for a while but man oh man did I miss it! I thought I’d share my sacred routine to help you get your body ready for rest:
- take time to wash your face, and enjoy your skin care regimen
-I like turning on a lamp instead of the main lights so the lighting is dimmed and sets the tone for rest
-if you don’t have a diffuser, get one! I love putting a relaxing scent in to give a spa like feel
-grab yourself a book and snuggle in
-most importantly, make sure you have a mattress and pillows that give you the support you need along with a soft cloud like feel. For me, that’s my pillows and mattress. It has been a game changer of how well I sleep and how QUICKLY I fall asleep. To be honest, I usually only get through 2-4 pages of my book before my eyes start closing lol!

Loungewear - some days or most days for you?

At this phase of my life, it’s most days for me. Keeping it cute and fresh (think details and interesting cuts) will still give you that comfort and movability you need, but help you feel like you got style! Which we all do!! Sometimes it just takes a little inspo, a little trial and error to find yours 😉

It’s our 100 night anniversary!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been making changes in our home to live healthier and more intentionally. I believe a good sleep is a big part of this, and our Endy has definitely facilitated quality sleeps over here. Instead of waking up throughout the night to alleviate back and hip pains, I sleep sound all night long with zero aches 🙏 and that alone sets me, and consequently my family, up for a good day. I’ve always loved going to bed! After sleeping on Thanks to our Endy mattress for months now, that feel good feeling when you snuggle into your bed is now accompanied with a peaceful slumber.

It’s still Capricorn season and I thought I’d share my biggest lesson I can’t believe took me 37 years to learn and live by (because we can LEARN things but it’s another step to LIVE by them):

Live your life for YOU. Listen to your heart, to your gut, and let that lead the way. An easy concept, but a challenge to take the steps to connect with yourself (especially after being disconnected for so long), quiet the noise, listen and take action. It’s not selfish. You’re not forgetting about other people in this process. In fact, you might find yourself being able to be there for others more, and from a place of love as opposed to a place of obligation. Anyway!! I could ramble on forever about this but I’ll stop here 🙃

The pillows are another part of the products that have promoted such beautiful sleeps for me 👌
At first the pillow felt a little too firm for my liking, but then I remembered you can customize the firmness by removing some of the shredded foam filling! Once I did that, I found it was just perfect for me.

I have a confession- I never knew what the little grey pillow cases were for! A pillow you can customize by removing the foam is amazing, and the fact that you can reuse the foam to make a travel pillow is a bonus! Perfect timing for us too. Now my littles have a pillow for our plane ride!

As if I needed another reason to love my bed so much!
My spine used to be a daily ailment for me, but now everything from bending to my yoga practice feels natural and fluid. So I wasn't surprised to learn that is the only mattress approved by the Canadian Chiropractic Association as it promotes quality sleep and spinal alignment. 👌
Another aspect I'm really appreciating (for two reasons) is that the foam enhances breathability and cooling throughout the night. Reason 1 - my husband is a walking heater and exudes heat when he sleeps lol Reason 2 - it seems that new symptoms when that lovely time of the month is about to come have changed for me, and getting really hot at night is one of them 🤷🏻‍♀️ Since we changed our mattress I no longer wake up mid night sweating! A supported, cool body while enjoying a wonderful slumber? This is a win in my books 🤍

There was a moment recently where I thought I had a newborn with the lack of sleep I was getting lol. But it was really from sleeping with a sore back because of our old mattress and my littlest crawling into bed with us, leaving me with 1 foot of space to sleep in. It's okay because the Canadian-made mattress came to the rescue! (Quickly and right to my doorstep!)

I don’t do much for Halloween, just a sprinkle for the kids. I added these cute plush ornaments from at the kids table along with a ghost garland using a command hook and wooden clothes pins to keep with a fun organic feel. I think I was more excited about Mr. Bones than they were lol but he’s found a spot at the table too! A few more sprinkles to do and that’s it for me! Do you go all out or maybe even skip the Halloween decor??

Grateful.
It’s taken me time, but today I’m at the point where I can be grateful everyday. Maybe not all day every day, things happen, but definitely every day. Those moments of gratitude are special. The ones where you find yourself with a smile on your face and heart feeling full. I’ve learned it takes being present to be able to truly feel and recognize moments. Let’s keep working on being present so we can be aware of those beautiful times of gratitude each day. I promise there is at least one thing to grateful for everyday, even on those really crappy ones! Setting up the rooftop terrace here for the second time has me looking for some inspo. Last year we purchased a couch from , an outdoor rug, lights and terracotta pots for a little veggie garden. Most of these gorgeous terraces have three things in common, which I believe all outdoor spaces need - comfy seating, ambient lighting, and lots of greenery (especially if your terrace is on a roof or balcony!)

FIREPLACE INSPO
I’ve been sick the last couple of days and nothings cozier than being wrapped in a blanket, with some tea, fireplace on (meds in hand!). The kids’ play space.
There is so much amazing inspiration out there! I’ve found bits and pieces of what I’d like to incorporate in their little play space. The teacher in me hopes for a cozy reading spot, dramatic play, space for building, a table for art/writing, and if I can fit it, a swing or climbing wall for my monkeys….and for it to all be organized and pretty!!! Too much to ask??? 🤪

As of 3:30 this afternoon my little energizer bunnies are off for two weeks! Making some plans to make these weeks fun for them but one thing is for sure…I’m going to miss having all their play spaces neat and tidy throughout the day 😩 Anyone else triggered by mess???
