I just read this interesting article from Austin Kleon that I thought I'd share. It talks about the things that you leave out of your work, your self-imposed restrictions. It made me think of the challenges of writing in poetic forms. If you haven't read any of Kleon's books, I highly recommend "Steal Like an Artist."

The Talking Heads and rules about what you will and won\\\\\\\'t do in your art.

We're looking forward to The Write Women Book Fest this weekend in Bowie. FTP will be sharing a table with EC Poetry & Prose to sell our books and generally have a great day surrounded by writers. ECPP will have poets reading from noon to 5:00 (including Terri and Patti). Because the fest is indoors this year, there is a cost for tickets, but if you use the code POETRY23 you get a 50% discount. I hope to see you there!

The Write Women Book Fest features women authors in a variety of genres, signings, live poetry, panel discussions, swag, and bookish merch
