As leading international space agencies keep their focus on our solar system, the Milky Way galaxy and small portions of the universe, comprehensively looking at ourselves, namely Earth often gets overlooked.
That is about to dramatically change with NASA set to launch what its calls a new era in Earth science.
As NASA explains, “For more than 50 years, NASA has been collecting and providing data about Earth’s land, water, ice and atmosphere. NASA will launch a fleet of state-of-the-art satellites forming the Earth System Observatory, which will create a comprehensive 4D view of Earth like never before.”
This promises to be an unprecedented monitoring of our home from so many elemental standpoints. Check out this fascinating NASA video.
