In 2017, the Author returned to Finland for the first time since he was 22 years old. Mike was accompanied by his wife and daughter and her husband and 3 children and her mother-in-law whose father was born in Finland. 2017 was the 100th anniversary of Finland's independence. Everywhere they went, there was an electricity of excitement in the hearts and minds of the Finnish people. This family summer adventure inspired the release of continuing episodes of Trans-Light-Element. This amazing little vacation carried them through each of the towns Mike visited in the 70's and several new places as well. The photo shown here is a profile captured on the drive from Jyväskylä to Asikkala (where fictional characters Marku Leppänen and his family live). The entire adventure took 10 days; the family captured 100's of pictures. Look for a few of these photographic moments over the next few months.
