A Passion for Cinematography

Based in the North East, but born in Germany and raised in Sweden, Svea has been captivated and enthralled by films and cinematic storytelling since her earliest childhood days.

Having studied Film, Drama, and Media Studies at the universities of Frankfurt and Stockholm and obtained a First Master of Arts Degree, Svea has recently topped up her credentials with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Creative Film and Moving Image at The Northern School of Art in Hartlepool.

With a burning passion for all things cinematography, Svea is a dedicated, enthusiastic and friendly individual who is interested in creative projects across a variety of genres and styles and she is always ready to embrace a challenge to increase her level of expertise.

As of 2019, Svea has been working as a freelance camera assistant for the creative production studio Digitalfire in Newcastle. As such, her prime objective is to lighten the workload of the Director of Photography so that they can focus on the realisation of their cinematic vision. Her ultimate objective is to become a Director of Photography herself.
