On our last episode, we talked about how polygraphs are don’t actually detect lies, and why you should never take one, regardless of guilt or innocence. This week, we are looking at cadaver dogs and whether they are reliable enough to hinge an entire murder verdict on. And next week, we are looking at the BS in Blood Spatter Analysis.

Is there a forensic tool you are interested in learning the veracity of?

New website! New episode dropping Friday! It's an exciting week!

You won't find much about infamous serial killers here. Those stories have been done to death (no pun intended.) Instead, we tend to focus on the kinds of cases that are total head scratchers. Sometimes we ask how, or why, or even who. But we for sure always ask WTF?!

Hey all! We are still here. I am working on an overhaul/rebrand of the podcast. The name will stay the same but some of the format will be changing. It is unlikely that Tea for Tuesday will continue.

I appreciate your patience. I am working as fast as I can. ❤️

Wondering where we have been? Didn’t mean to leave anyone hanging. We haven’t abandoned you! BUT!!!….I just took a super cool job that I am getting acclimated to, AND my partner tested positive for Covid and is still feeling under the weather. So we thought this might evolve into a natural break as Trey gets better and as I settle into more of a routine on my newest adventure. We will be back August 5, and we will be starting with our own personal stories of our ties to the true crime community, and perhaps another few tricks up our sleeves. *cue suspense sound bite*

See you soon!

This week we are asking you to be on the look out for Tamara Bell.

Tamara was last seen on Green Mountain Drive in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 5, 2020. She has never been heard from again. On May 29, her 2014 Jeep Cherokee was found; however, there was no sign of her.

Tamara's husband, Corey Lamont Walker Sr., was found dead in his car in the 100 block of Larch Street in Little Rock on June 5. He'd been killed by gunshot wounds to the upper half of his body and his car had crashed into a pole. His death was initially said to be a su***de, but police later retracted this ruling and said it was still under investigation. It's unclear whether Corey's death had anything to do with his wife's disappearance.

Prior to the summer of 1996, Blair Adams of Surrey, British Columbia seemed to have a lot going for him. He had many friends, a job he enjoyed and was good at, and was close with his family. However, in June, something happened that started Blair to change drastically. Confiding in friends, he said someone was out to kill him.  When his mother asked if he was alright, he was evasive. After a couple of failed attempts, Blair made it to the US and made a cross-country, nonsensical journey where it seems his deepest fear came true. Join us as we look further into this 28-year-old unsolved case.

Today we are doing two stories in one episode. First we are talking about Adam Hecht, a progeny of Hollywood royalty, who had an epiphany about the unfairness of circumstances of others around him. Adam really wanted to make a difference and help others. And then, he disappeared without a trace. Next we do a quick cover of Lars Mittank, who got into a scuffle one night while on vacation in another country. Days later, security cameras caught him dashing out of an airport, never to be seen again. What happened to these two young men?

This is Eztli Atl Cortez Trujillo. They have been missing since 4/23/2020 from North Ogden, Utah. Eztli was in a minor car accident on the North Ogden Divide Road at 1 PM on 4/23/2020. They were standing in the side of the road by a GrubHub delivery driver who offered them a ride. Eztli accepted the offer but the driver had to drop off a delivery first. By the time the GrubHub delivery driver returned after the food drop off, Eztli was nowhere to be seen, and had abandoned their car. While Eztli was known to take drives to clear their head, their unexplained prolonged absence is unusual. They may be in danger. Their cell phone pinged in the Kirkland, New Mexico area after their disappearance. Their case remains unsolved. If you know the whereabouts of Eztli Cortez Trujillo, please contact the Salt Lake City PD at 801-799-3454. Let’s bring Eztli home!

Joshua Vernon Maddux had recently turned 18 years old when he vanished without a trace in May 2008. When he was found more than 7 years later, we were left with more questions than answers due to the bizarre circumstances surrounding his discovery. What really happened to Joshua we may never know. But someone does.

Hey besties! Sam & Trey are out this week, as our youngest daughter of a graduating high school! So we are taking time to celebrate this milestone with her. Instead, our friends at have graciously allowed us to air their first episode of their latest series, Minding the Beehive. It’s not a fun story to tell, but it IS an important one. Changes are coming to Okay, So…

***WTFriday - at this stage, information that is already published by various forms of media are what I am able to research. The downside is, the cases with the most readily available published sources involve mostly people who look a lot like me. I don’t want ”relish in the macabre and that’s it.” What I would like to do is eventually solely focus on cases that don’t usually get alot of coverage. Cases involving members of the BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled communities. Poor communities. Immigrant communities. Fringe communities. Basically those that don’t fit the upper middle class Ken and Barbie mold.

Right now, with my current personal schedule, I am unable to reach out to the families and investigators on the kinds of cases I’d like to cover. We aren’t in anyway ready to monetize the podcast, and I have bills to pay, so it’s a hobby right now.

****BUT**** as a step in the right direction until I can do more investigative journalism, we will end full length episodes with what I can find on the media obscures cases, and put a link in the show notes to a google drive folder with that case’s missing poster, in effort to spread the word as much as I can on my tiny platform.

Also each show will have another link to a google drive folder where you can find newspaper clippings and other media, for your perusal.

These are just first steps, not the whole solution. Please be patient as we grow.

***Tea for Tuesday - I know it can come across to others that we are reveling in gossip about others. My intention has been to show that one is not alone in their interpersonal struggles. Often we think no one else would understand or we second guess ourselves on whether someone is actually behaving in a fu**ed up manner. Whether we are cheated on, lied to, or otherwise betrayed, it can feel like a lonely place to be. So I had hoped in telling these stories, one might find a sort of solace.

Admittedly I have not yet done a great job at that nuance, and that is something I also will be working on. As I am learning and improving, in the meantime, at the end of each episode, we will be shining a light on community resources and organizations that may help someone in a similar situation as those in that episode face AND/OR an organization that could use community help.

***MONETIZATION - We are nowhere near ready to monetize yet. But should we ever do that, we are committing now that a minimum of 25% of total revenue will be donated to community resources and programs. My first passion organization that we will donate any proceeds to is the Navajo Water Project, which is working to bring families on Navajo land clean running water. See more at navajowaterproject.org.

Aside from monetization, the above changes will be taking place immediately

Help DigDeep bring clean, running water to hundreds of American families. 1 in 3 Navajo homes don't have a tap or toilet. We can fix that.
