Had the opportunity to meet and watch a true culinary master at work.
◾️
Duke Kroger of Biagio's in Jacksonville, NC, took me behind the scenes and taught me a thing or two about "getting it in" in the kitchen. His staff and him whipped up a meal, complete with dessert, and I did my best to stay out the way. Here is the first of many more spotlights with Duke, and I hope that if you're in Eastern Carolina you stop in to experience the master Chef first hand.

Want to thank Kyle Tyndall, Cross Beckman, and Kadeem Walker for the guidance and the encouragement to start dabbling in the capturing of the positivity of the world.

Unplugged Sessions with Ryan Rubich
I’ve been meaning to sit down with Ryan for a while. The Houston native has been causing quite a stir in the Carolina music scene and I completely admire his work ethic and distinct sound. Pre-pandemic the dude was playing upwards of 150 shows a year in the area, I mean to say this man was determined to be heard would be a huge understatement.
Ryan’s music is a mix between folk storytelling, blues driven melodies, and an unique raspy voice that just carries. His recent EP, released with Mike Corrado on Grunt Tunes, is power packed with great guitar playing, solid melodies, and an energy that is definitely fitting for any mood.
When we met up Ryan was preparing to head out to another show. The man can not be stopped. Ryan penciled me in and we got in two songs before he was headed out to the following that he has compiled over the years.
Shooting with one camera had it’s perks and it’s setbacks, but through it all the humbleness and genuine care for creating just filled the room. Ryan played like he was playing for a thousand people in a sold out venue. He usually plays on an electric, but we really wanted to capture the rawness of his writing.
I think we did.
Make sure to hit the links provided below and listen to the new EP. Local live music is still happening throughout the nation, so whenever you feel comfortable, try to get out and support your local establishments and the artist performing.
Thanks and remember… Gas Up or Get Out the Way!!!
