Gunmen, Enforcing Sit At Home, kill Actor Osita Iheme’s elder brother in Imo State

This is not best of times for Nollywood actor, Osita Iheme popularly known as Pawpaw as his family mourns the death of Prince Iheme.

Iheme was killed when parts of Owerri, Mbaitoli and environs in Imo State came under attacks on Friday afternoon, December 9, 2022, by gunmen who were enforcing the five-day sit-at-home order.

The gunmen struck at different locations and killed a policeman, Prince Iheme, elder.

The Gunmen matxhei Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Martin Eke.

It was gathered that the gunmen who rode in Trundra operational vehicles, shot sporadically forcing people to scamper for safety.

While businesses abruptly wounded up, the roads were deserted as motorists abandoned their vehicles and ran helter skelter.

At Orji, near Owerri, the state capital, the gunmen wearing black clothes in three vehicles attacked residents and passersby, including policemen.

Eyewitnesses told newsmen that the gunmen met policemen at 7up junction at Orji and shot one cop dead.

“They just killed a policemen now. They opened fire on them and were shouting there is sit at home. We have asked you to go home. Stay in doors,” the witness said.

Another eyewitness said: ” I just escaped death by a whiskers now. They stopped before us and and asked us to go home. They didn’t shot at us maybe because I was in the midst of some elderly women.

It was also gathered that the fleeing gunmen also shot repeatedly at Nkwo-Orji market before taking off towards the Okigwe Road.

At Ubomri in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area, the gunmen attacked the convey of the All Progressives Congress candidate for Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency, Akarachi Amadi.

While Prince Iheme was killed on the spot, Eke was matcheted.

“Prince Iheme was riding in the same vehicle with the commissioner for solid minerals, Martin Eke. Prince Iheme who is Pawpaw’s elder brother was killed on the spot. The commissioner who was sworn in two weeks ago was cut badly. He has just been rushed to a hospital. They were driving in a Ford vehicle. I pray he makes it,” the witness said.

A woman, Onyii Manifestation and her child also survived the attack at at Obodoukwu in Ideato North Local Government Area of the state.

Abuja Court Dissolves Paul Okoye, Anita’s Eight-Year Marriage

An Abuja High court has granted Anita and her estranged husband, Paul Okoye divorce.
Anita who got married to Paul in 2014 cited cheating, separation, being an absent father, fraud, and difficult experiences as her major reasons for seeking a divorce.
She requested a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of her husband’s mansions.
In the divorce petition signed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S at an Abuja High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Anita had earlier claimed that she contributed N10 million as an agreement with her husband that she would be granted space at the mall he had just completed in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. She, however, claimed Paul Okoye cheated her out of a deal.

Fabian Adibe. was born in Okigwe in 1940. In 1965, he led Nigeria to her first Commonwealth Festival of Arts in London, United Kingdom.

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor “G.O” of Word of Life Bible Church Divorces Wife.

The founder and Senior Pastor of Word of Life Bible Church, Pastor “Ayodele” Ayo Oritsejafor has reportedly divorced his wife Helen Oristejafor, after 25 years of marriage.

The divorce comes after years of numerous rifts and conflicts between the couple.
Reports from close sources also revealed that Helen had another lover for years, while still with her husband. Some church members also alleged that the wife had repeatedly hit the pastor during numerous arguments.

A source said; “Helen moved out of the matrimonial home and relocated to Britain with the kids and Pastor Oritsejafor has moved back to the house after abandoning it for almost a year,”

This is the clergyman’s second marriage after his first wife Stella, who co-founded the church with him but sadly passed on in 1996 following complications of diabetes. He had married Helen about a year later.
Pastor Oritsejafor and Helen have three (3) children together including; Ayodele Joseph, Ayodeji, and Ayodeta.

The pastor was the Pentecostal preacher to be president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
