It's been a busy couple of weeks! Holidays, Birthdays coming up...We got three December birthdays Before Christmas! :O Wanted to take a minute to say how much we appreciated having Still Hammered Copper Works Brian Silcott, Tom Crum and Shawn Peterman stop by the house last week! Brian and Shawn were in town for one of his amazing Still Building Classes that took place at Lanier General Store and were willing to make the trip an hour or so down to Blount County to take time out of their day to talk shop with us and hang out.

We really look up to the three of you. We can learn a Lot from you, and it meant a lot to us that you were willing to just swing by to meet a couple weirdo's like us and spend the afternoon hanging out! BTW Shawn Peterman That Snow Cream is almost empty! Talk about an amazing 'Creamer' to add to your Coffee! Shout out to Damon Beaty Horror Shine as well, I'm sure you'll notice your T-Shirt being represented by Tom!! We can't wait for another opportunity to hang out with all of you!

The full photo dump! Had an outstanding time at South Mountain Distilling Company this previous Saturday for the Master Distiller Big Nick Calo Peanut Butter Banana Release Party!!! Got to talk with Nick, J.B Rader Lucas Owens 100 Proof, Damon Beaty while enjoying Moonshine tasting. The staff and facility is Awesome. Giant still setup on display just behind the front lobby. The staff was super kind, and considering the amount of people that came out, everything was moving fast but smooth. We went home with an autographed jar from everyone, and an extra Peanut Butter to drink for ourselves! The artwork by Laura Ashley Live Art was Awesome, the Sweets were great, and everyone we had a chance to hang out and chat with was awesome.

The day got more exciting when we ran into Panhead Cooter & Little Di**le and G Social Media Moonshine !! They were awesome as always! Shortly after that, Elvis and Colonel Sanders stopped by!!

I took advantage of the opportunity to ask Nick some questions, which he was glad to answer. Fun fact: They took a break for a week after trying numerous combinations for the final result, and it wasn't until they returned that they discovered a change that resulted in what's in these jars. Which is Fantastic!! The peanut butter is strong, but the banana is clearly on the pallet, resulting in something that is dangerous if you forget it's 60 proof!

At the end of the day, we grabbed lunch with Damon Beaty Horror Shine, who is just an all around awesome guy. We swapped some jars and his Apple Pie, influenced by the recipe from Phil Billy Moonshine was Fantastic! He gave us some shirts that we'll be wearing on an upcoming project! BTW: JD's Smokehouse was Absolutely Fantastic! We all had a bit of everything, brisket, pork, chicken - numerous side options, we literally all cleaned our plates!

Back home from our trip to South Mountain Distilling Company !! We had a blast today! Master Distiller Big Nick Calo was so down to earth and fun to meet. He answered some questions for us and told us how much time and attempts went into the final product. It's Amazing! You need to grab a jar of this moonshine! We have a Ton of fun pictures to share that we will upload tomorrow, as well as everyone who we got to meet.

We hit 200+ Followers! This is Awesome! Thanks to everyone who is befriending us, enjoying our posts and projects, and all the friends we've made since attending Hillbilly Jam this past July!! We will continue to do what we can to grow our page, continue to make new friends, share our projects, etc.! Night Two for Local Trunk or Treating!! We have been taking our kids to this event for the last 6-7 Years!! Greenback is a Gorgeous small community located just outside Maryville, and every year the town comes together to put together a Trunk or Treat that fills up the Entire downtown Greenback!

If you're anywhere near this area, and you're looking for a fun, safe and exciting place to take your family, this is where you want to be! City of Greenback Events We appreciate everyone who comes together to put on this event! And Don't Forget! The Christmas Parade they do every year is just as much fun for friends and family to attend!!

WE BOUT DAT FAMILY TRUNK OR TREAT LIFE!!!!

If you're anywhere near Blount County here in East, TN, or live on the outskirts in Knoxville, Alcoa, Greenback, Etc., Come out Tonight to Foothills Mall and appreciate the fun and work that the Foothills Cruise In has put together for all of the children ( And us Adults who love your cars and trucks!! ) to have a fun night! We will be there around 5:30-6pm and be staying for an hour or two while my Wife and I let our two children have a blast trick or treating for candy, talking me into buying them a snow cone, and enjoying the music and cars! Be safe and have a fantastic Halloween Weekend!

Good morning tonight is going to be spectacular night lots of Cool stuff for example, Yoshi the dinosaur 🦖 will be attending you don't want to miss him. The number 60 Fastenal car will be among all of us. And a friendly reminder that tonight is the last Cruise in for the year.

Big shout out to Gary G Social Media Moonshine for making a video with us during our trip up to the new Terps & Shine Maggie Valley location a few weeks back. It was fantastic meeting all of the staff ( Family ) at Terps and Shine, Johnboys BBQ , Jason Holden , Panhead Cooter & Little Di**le and everyone else that made it out that evening. Everyone in this community, whether local to Maggie Valley, Moonshiners, Local crafters, All the Festivals - Absolutely fantastic people. Not a single person has pushed away from giving us the opportunity to meet them and hang out.

We hope, as the year gets close to ending, that we have even more opportunities to meet new people, and see some of you again soon when next years Festival Season starts!! In the mean time, Follow along, hang out with us, more distilling and winemaking projects, building condensers, having fun around town, etc., We'll be sure to keep fun content coming!

Unfortunately, my brother and I won't have the opportunity to come out to this event this weekend. This is Not because we didn't want to!! I am talking about the Help a Vet Shine event!! Help A Vet Shine This event looks like it will be an Absolute Blast, and we would like to show our support be posting up the flyer and asking that if any of you can make it out, show support, help drive this event to be even bigger next year, please pass the word, show up, and support as best you can. Amanda Bryant : Moonshiners & Master Distiller will be here, I believe other moonshiners have made plans to be in attendance as well. There will be numerous events All Day - for Adults down to Children. Trunk or Treat, music, food, vendors, crafting, car shows, bike shows, Everything you want out of a fun Festival will be here at this event! I apologize that our week has been crazy busy with the kiddos excited for Halloween, and that I am sure I left off Numerous people that deserve to be tagged that will be at this event!

Let's show the love and support our veterans deserve, while enjoying a fun weekend of events with our friends and family!

Happy Monday Everyone! ( I know ... Monday's usually Suck! ) We've been Crazy busy this month! Between Distilling projects, Fermenting Projects, Family, Halloween around the Corner.. Phew! Just wanted to post a fun picture we took over the weekend. We are finally wrapping up this Lazy Wine Making project! (Which still required a decent amount of work, but was Totally Worth It !! ) Tonight we will be Corking our 3 full bottles of Wine and we will be editing and uploading our Video!

Had a Lot of fun at the Whimsy Witch Events Dragon Valley Mini Ren Faire! There were a lot of fantastic outfits, everyone had a great time ( Watch out for those Damn Walnut Trees ) !

There were a bunch of great arts and crafts to check out, Live Music, Food Trucks, even Knights fighting! Big Beard had an opportunity to fight one of the Knights from the The Wolves of Ravera whereas, I sourced out a Food Truck for a good Pulled Pork Sammich from Rollin-On-N !

Unfortunately, we did not come across any Old World Mead or Beer, but we couldn't expect that at an all ages family friendly event. We look forward to going to another event like this in the future. It was nice to see as many adults dressed up having a fun day as there were kids. In fact, for a family-friendly event, I think the Adults showed out more!

In a Complete 180 from our previous Events/Shows/Town Festivals that we've been able to attend this year, It was time to let my Wife, Shana, who not only supports our hobbies and weird projects, but is also our Photographer, pick an event to attend. This is where we landed! LOL! We will be attending the Whimsy Witch Events Dragon Valley Mini - Ren Faire this Saturday on the Beautiful property of the old Sam Houston School House!

Yes: We will have fun T-Shirts specific to the Ren Faire.
No: We will not be dressing up.
Yes: My Wife will be dressing up in full Costume/Cosplay!
No: I won't force Big Beard to wear a Kilt! ( Or Will I? )
Yes: We will find Turkey Legs!

Little late on posting... but considering we weren't home until almost 1am last night hah! The Brushy Mtn. State Pen and the Blackberry Smoke Concert were AWESOME! We did not, unfortunately, make it in time to catch a tour of the Prison, but we did get to experience a bit of everything else!

We checked out the moonshine tasting and restaurant, the 'Wardens Table', followed by a short peek inside the Brushy Mountain Distillery building and then made our way into the Prison Yard for the Concert!

Big Beard smashed down the jalapeno burger and I completely disappeared the Grilled Chicken Sammich and a side of Potato Salad!

The stage setup was fantastic, the audio being outside and surrounded on three sides by the mountains was absolutely amazing. Blackberry Smoke put on a Hell of a show. As far as the venue, they had a bathroom that was within probably 50 feet of where you sat outside that was so big no one had to wait in line. That was impressive....most concert venue bathrooms suck, let's be honest.

There were also multiple beer vendors and food vendors inside the prison yard grounds, including someone who was making Awesome Hot Dogs ( Tag them if you know them! ) , REO Cheesewagon was on hand keeping a 100' line all night long and Joe Loves Lobster Rolls was making some incredible food, including some Chicken skewers that were Amazing !!

10/10 we would and will find ourselves here again - In fact ... pretty interested in doing one of their nightly ghost tours !!

Couldn't make it to Prohibition - Hot Rod & Moonshine Festival so we found another way to enjoy this Saturday by catching Blackberry Smoke playing at Brushy Mtn. State Pen !! Should be an absolute Party!! Going to be a blast and we can't wait! Taking off in about 3 hours! Pictures and video to come!!

Today’s the day! BLACKBERRY SMOKE will be performing live at Brushy this evening with Ben Chapman, and we can’t wait to see you there.

TGIF! We've determined our next Adventure!! We will be at Brushy Mtn. State Pen, Having dinner at Wardens Table and then attending the Blackberry Smoke Concert !!! Anyone else got plans for this event? (( Prohibition Festival was too last minute for us to try to attend, so that will be on Next Years Calendar !!! ))

We're back home! Terps & Shine was a blast this afternoon in Maggie Valley! Everyone was incredibly nice and didn't mind hanging out to share stories and strike up conversation! The staff is fantastic in answering any questions about products as well! We brought back some goodies that we had to have! Shout out to everyone who came out! The basic recipe, step by step:

1 gallon water
1 lb corn
1 lb sugar

Per 5 gallons add
1 teaspoon yeast
1 teaspoon amylase enzyme, or 1 lb malted grain.

Heat water to 180f
Start stirring and add sugar and corn.
Reduce heat, stir constantly for 30 minutes or until the temp drops to 150⁰f. Add amylase or malted grain. Allow the temp to drop below 100⁰f or overnight, add yeast.

This will bubble for about 7 to 10 days. A crust will form on top, it is natural and desirable. When this crust (cap) sinks, it's ready to run.

A look at our upcoming adventure! Big Beard and I are going to make the Laziest DIY Wine we can - while explaining all the basic steps involved and discussing why this is a great place to start if you're interested in anything from Fermentation to Brewing to more professional Wine Making and of course Distilling! Remember! Every Brandy is a Distilled Wine!! We will be taking advantage of a beginners Home Brew Ohio wine making kit, while also using a few extra tools that we consider a necessity in this hobby that don't break the bank, such as a gravity hydrometer and a PH meter.

So this was fun.... Big Beard and I decide to walk from one end to the other once we arrived at the White Lightning Trail Festival before stopping at specific booths and events...when he nudges me on the shoulder and says "uh.. Hey, Bro... Kelly Williamson, Moonshiner is sitting on a bench behind us.." Sure enough! Kelly was just enjoying the Festival! As we do, as politely as we can, we interrupted him to say hi and ask how he was doing. We last saw him and spent a few minutes talking to us about moonshining at the Shiners Club Live event at his distillery Adventure Distilling Co. ! Be sure to stop in and check it out if you're near Cosby, TN!
