Curve is a 2015 American horror-thriller film directed by Iain Softley and written by Kimberly Lofstrom Johnson and Lee Patterson. The film stars Julianne Hough and Teddy Sears and was produced by Jason Blum for Blumhouse Productions. The film premiered at the Film4 Fright Fest on August 31, 2015. Mallory, a young bride-to-be, is on her way to Denver for her wedding rehearsal when she video chats with her sister, Ella, who informs her she hasn't bought her plane tickets yet. Mallory fakes happiness and hangs up.
As her car breaks down, Mallory spots a man named Christian, who helps her start her car. As she drives away, she stops and offers him a ride. Christian starts acting odd, mentioning fate and their intended fate. Mallory stops and tells him to get out, but he pulls out a knife and tells her to drive. They crash violently, and Mallory wakes up to find the car upside down. She unhooks her seat belt but can't get out as her leg is pinned in the seat. Christian wakes up and tells Mallory to get herself out of the car.
Mallory, a woman, drinks her last water bottle and is surrounded by rats that night. Christian, who is holding a family hostage, gives her a saw, which she initially believes is for cutting through the door. However, he warns her that if she doesn't cut off her leg, she will die.
As a rainstorm hits, Mallory attacks Christian and throws his car keys outside. A police car arrives, and he drives away with Christian. As the car starts to flood, Mallory tries to cut her leg off, but only makes superficial cuts. She goes to the cabin where Christian claims to be, witnesses him killing a police officer and keeping their daughter Katie as a hostage. Mallory aims a gun at Christian and threatens to shoot him if he moves.
Christian attacks Mallory, but she eventually pushes him off a second-story balcony, causing him to fall and crush his leg in a bear trap. She gives Christian his knife and promises to give him the same chance as he gave her. Christian succumbs to his wound and dies, and Mallory and Katie walk down the road with Katie as the front door slams shut.

Elinor and her friends head to Alassio, the town of Inkheart author Fenoglio, to find another copy of the book. Dustfinger, initially afraid of learning his fate, joins them and learns he dies while trying to save his marten, Gwin. He berates Fenoglio and tells Mo that Resa is trapped in the real castle and has lost her voice. Mo and Dustfinger take Fenoglio's car, while Farid stows away in the trunk. At Fenoglio's house, Meggie reads Toto from The Wizard of Oz. Basta bursts in with his men and takes the group to Capricorn. Elinor decides to stay and pursues them. At the castle, Capricorn orders Meggie to bring a monster called the Shadow out of Inkheart and threatens to harm Resa if she does not comply. Mo sneaks into the castle and captures Dustfinger, but escapes after Meggie informs him of Capricorn's intentions.
Mo attempts to free Meggie and the others, but Capricorn forces her to read the Shadow out of the book. As she writes the story, Capricorn turns into ashes, his henchmen vanish, and all read-out creatures are returned. She grants Fenoglio's wish to live in the world he created and reunites herself and Mo with Resa, whose voice is restored.

Enola decides to find Tewkesbury again to save him from Linthorn. She visits the Tewkesbury estate to learn more and meets Tewkesbury's grandmother. Inspector Lestrade of Scotland Yard searches for Enola.
Enola discovers Tewkesbury selling flowers in Covent Garden and warns him of Linthorn. She is caught by Lestrade and imprisoned in Miss Harrison's finishing school by Mycroft. Sherlock visits her and admires her detective work. Tewkesbury and Enola escape, stealing Miss Harrison's car. They head to Basilwether Hall to confront Linthorn's uncle, who she suspects is trying to kill him. Linthorn ambushes them, and Enola uses jujitsu to kill him, causing a fatal head injury. Tewkesbury's grandmother is revealed as Linthorn's contractor, and she shoots him, but he survives. Sherlock arrives at Scotland Yard, where Lestrade informs him of Enola's actions. Enola shares a tearful goodbye with Tewkesbury and eavesdrops on a meeting between Sherlock and Mycroft, suggesting becoming her guardian.
