When you have your own website for your business, you’re giving yourself a space that isn’t controlled by an algorithm that can change or go away at any moment. You’re creating a space for yourself that you own.

As business owners we know how important it is to be seen by our ideal clients and nurture that relationship, but it’s vital to have a place to do those things outside social media. It’s a behavior analytics tool that allows you to see how people interact with elements on your website. You can see a visual heat map to help you see what users are doing once they’ve arrived at your website, and it’s free!

I see it all the time: if someone is DIYing their website, they often forget to make sure the website functions well on a mobile device. When this happens, the experience is, honestly, kinda awful and confusing for someone who visits, which is most likely to be someone who could be a potential customer.

Launching a website and using a website for your business are two different things.

Let me explain:

When you launch a website, you’re making a big deal out of the launch and people are going to go check it out because of that intrigue. But what happens a month or two down the road?

You should be consistently directing traffic to your website (through SEO, social media, email, etc.) so that you’re continuing to use your website effectively for your business.

Websites aren’t a one-time thing. Make sure you’re using your website to it’s full potential by continuing to drive your audience there.
