Stress can reduce activity in the prefrontal cortex (PFC), the area of our brain used for regulating our thoughts, actions, and emotions. The PFC is also used for creativity. Meaning, living in a state of chronic stress reduces our ability for sound decision-making and may very well diminish that playful, creative side of life too.

The trick with affirmations is that you're not just wishfully saying some magical phrase. Affirmations are a practice that you're meant to continue to work on so that you can connect with the beliefs & feelings associated with your affirmations. This creates corresponding thoughts, which creates corresponding frequencies, which pulls similar frequencies and that outcome to you. This process takes time and is about being intentional with the frequencies of the universe.

In life, it's easy to start thinking about what we believe "should" happen - I SHOULD work out, or I SHOULD eat healthy. My friends SHOULD support me and I SHOULD get that promotion. But we, have to be mindful & aware here, as these statements are beliefs that we create based on expectations that we have. Uncommunicated and/or unmet expectations can be a huge source of disappointment.

The majority of people - whether they're an employee or they own a business - don't manage their workload. Keeping your work & career organized allows you to manage expectations and know what can and can't get done and when. Without this organization, people often feel they don't have enough time because they've overbooked themselves. Getting your workload organized allows you more opportunities to set healthy boundaries, rather than agreeing to every new task and having your queue in a place that makes you feel stressed and overwhelmed, you can plan accordingly.
