One of the biggest tips we give when helping others start out videoing their offer is to film it, film it and film it again. You can never have too much footage!

Our rule of thumb is that you just never know what is going to work well, so the more the better. Remember it's always easier to delete all the "mistakes" than miss capturing the moment.

When we're looking at the types of photos we want to include we make sure we
- have a mix of people in our shoots if needed
- capture some great shots of faces and body parts
- create a range of wide and close up shots, from all sorts of angles
- take photos from different perspectives based on where will we use the photos
- capture as many fun, candid, even blooper photos as we can in the mix

BEST LITTLE VIDEO TOOL

So many ask what do you use to create videos? Now first we want to put it out there what we use today is not what we used to start.

And there is one thing has remained constant in our little tool box of video equipment and that is our iPhones.

When we began taking photos and videos for social media and youtube all we had was an iPhone and a tripod. Why a tripod? We sometimes underestimate how important it is to hold your mobile device very still and be able to position it at a specific height and angle for when you video.

And with just these two tools, you're ready to roll. Always remembering it's about getting out there not about being perfect.

As we speed towards the end of the year, we're working closely with clients to ensure their online presence maintains momentum throughout December and January.

It's so easy for social media, email marketing, and content to get put at the bottom of the to do list when things get busy or when the silly season hits — that's why accountability is key!

And it's really all about working smarter not harder so you can spend more time away from the computer and more time with family and friends enjoying the last of 2021.

Three quick tips:

(1) Aim to get a whole month's worth of content ready now – all of your December social media ideas, scheduled, prepped, and ready to go. And it doesn't have to take a lot of time. If you schedule ahead, you can really streamline the process so all you have to do is sit back and relax during the holiday season.

(2) Make it easier on yourself. Use templates. They really are your best friend! Canva is fantastic for this, find the templates you like, simply edit and customise the design and you're good to go. Use them and leverage them! You CAN easily design content from a bare canvas, and why would you when you really don't need to!

(3) It's all about being global, so use global holidays/celebrations to kick start your content if you are stuck, without frying your brain to come up with ideas. December is marked by all manner of events and festivals around the world, including religious, cultural, and even corporate events. What is celebrated in your little corner of the world?
