FALLFIFTYFEET - LONELY IF YOU GO

Life has been wild lately and I can't believe I haven't made this post sooner! It still blows my mind that I got to release this AMAZING EP. are one of my favourite bands and it was a dream come true to be able to work alongside them on this and bring it to life!! Right from the jump I was on board to make all their ideas a reality and make this vinyl release special. From the custom hand-cut and printed linocut on the B-side, to the custom hype stickers, to the custom test press center labels we really went all out for this record and it all came out beautifully 😍 shoutout to the gang for being so cool and trusting me with this release, y'all are Wormwood fam for life 🖤 now go stream the tunes, hit up a FFF show, and pick up a vinyl if you haven't already!!

These cats dropped one of my favourite EPs this year and I am so excited to be able to work with them to bring this record to life! In your face groovy hardcore paired with relatable heartfelt lyrical content, .hc have really made their mark in the short time they've been around. Fresh, full of energy, and one of THE up-and-coming bands in the Montreal Hardcore scene!!

Some of the best vegan metalcore to come out of the UK in my opinion and a band that's been on the rise in the UKHC scene. Welcome to the family

Since their original demo dropped I've been a massive fan of this band. Their music just perfectly encapsulates the vegan metalcore sound, from the guitar tone, the twangy snare hits, to the emotive and abrasive vocals. The band dropped "The Subdivide of Species" late last year and was an instant on repeat record ever since. 22 minutes of pure anger, frustration, and carnage, Sentience have been making waves in the UKHC scene. Playing some massive shows and proving they are one of THE next up and coming vegan metalcore bands in the UK scene and everywhere else for that matter!

We've teamed up to bring "The Subdivide of Species" to life with a wax treatment!! Preorders for the vinyl will be dropping SUPER SOON so keep them eyes peeled and don't miss out on the limited release of this amazing record!

A while back these cats hit me up to do a run of tapes for their debut death metal EP and they came out amazing!! Really wish I took more photos and posted these sooner! All units were available exclusively from the band, with a few remaining on their bandcamp page!! Blistering death metal, full of savage imagery, beefcake riffs, and pushing drums. A non-stop onslaught of music from start to finish, a truly fantastic debut EP!

Shoutout for trusting me with this and being such rad individuals! Stoked for the new tunes!!! 😈

RUST - WORLD UPSIDE DOWN

Time to gush over this release a lil bit! Just over a year ago these cats and I started chatting about teaming up and putting this out. And in that time we became like family. I saw that they are some of the hardest working people in the scene and ones that won't stop until their goal is reached. We saw eye-to-eye right away and worked tirelessly to bring this to record to life. The ONHC scene is thriving like I haven't seen in a long time and I'm so excited for the future and for this momentum to continue. The records came out perfect (even if the purple is a bit lighter than originally though 😘), and of course thank you to everyone who picked one up and supported us and this release! There may or may not be less than 10 left in the store so snooze you lose!

Now that the dust has settled on 2022 and we're comfortably in the new year, I think it's time to reflect on our releases and finally share my list of favourite LPs and EPs of the year!

This year was incredible for music and these releases all mean so much to me. From releasing records for my friends, to working with bands who I listen to almost daily, to of course making new friends in the process! Thank you endlessly for your trust in me and thank you to everyone you supported and picked something up 🖤 I also want to take a minute to talk about being able to support my scene and fellow Canadian artists. This is something I feel is vital to help grow any local scene and to be able to work alongside so many amazing local artists and Canadian artists has been incredible. 5/6 releases in 2022 were Canadian artists and I'm damn proud 🇨🇦

Outside of the label there were SO MANY good records that came out, it was honestly a struggle to get the list down to 20 each! I know I probably wiffed and missed a bunch of great records but this list is sick and this past year was wild for new tunes! All in alphabetical order (tagged bands are ones I spun the most), and I left out some records on purpose as we may be releasing them 😎 but they were absolutely some of my favs, that's why we're releasing them! Anyways peep the lists and let me know what you think or what I missed!!

So stay tuned 2023 is going to be a fun one!!

Had the absolute pleasure of doing up these tapes for these cats! Such a fresh and energetic new band to pop off in the booming Wild Rose Hardcore scene, this record is a crowd killers dream. Pure beatdown hardcore!

The tapes came out slick AF and I'm super happy with them 😎 Red tint tapes with red tint case? Say no more!!

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY fallfiftyfeet

Since their debut, this band has been on my radar. Unbelievable songwriting and musicianship, they created an emotive and inviting blend of mathcore and metalcore that I was hooked on from day 1, and have been able to make quite the name for themselves in such a short time. Now we're teaming up to bring their sophomore release "Lonely If You Go" to life with the vinyl treatment!!

Was it worth the wait? HELLZ YES IT WAS 😤 vinyl is finally done! The blue swirl marble came out insane and exactly what I was envisioning!

I am beyond stoked with how these 2 records came out, they look amazing and sound even more amazing 😍 big love to my TOHC brethren in and 🖤 thank you so much for trusting me to release these amazing records and being such awesome people to work with!! I love working with my local scene and helping make it the best it can be, we have so much talent in TO and Canada, and I love being a part of it!!
